We had the most amazing dinner at the Mexican! The Jalapeño poppers were out of this world good and the nachos were incredible. Staff were so friendly and we hardly had to wait for our food. Being new to Jeffrey’s bay it’s has just become my new favorite spot. Well done on having an awesome space x
Excellent atmosphere created by Host Michelle. Well trained waitrons who are professional and diplomatic. Food is outstanding. Best plate of nachos we've had and we've tasted this dish on a regular basis throughout the region. Highly recommended.
The Mexican is a must stop when in J-bay and in my view on of the best Mexican restaurants in South Africa. Good / slowish service but still a treat.
Good food. Music crappy. Food took too long 2 b served. Good service from waitress. Pizzas were served after the 4 adults finished their meals.
Delicious Mexican food and more, smoking section up top on the deck as well as full bar inside! Friendly and fast service. For my first time here I'll definitely come back when passing through town again
Visited on a whim today and was very surprised.great atmosphere since we entered.place was empty but you could feel a positive vibe. Food and drinks were excellent.we left and went back later.had a great time again.the food here is excellent.gad fillet and was prepared to perfection.

Food was great. Had good flavour. The prices were abit steep but worth it. Location near the beach which made it more entertaining. We had the nachos and the veg chimichangas. Brilliant

Delicious Quesadillas and cocktails ! Love how this little place turns into a jol over the weekends. A great place for food and drinks. The bar located inside is a great hideout if you just want a chilled drink during the day. Will recommend.

During our trip to Jeffrey's last August, my boyfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting this gem not once, but twice. Our initial impressions were captured in the photos from our first visit. The atmosphere exuded a relaxed vibe, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options. Inside, there was a well-stocked bar and a TV for sports enthusiasts.
What truly set this place apart was its clever layout. The spacious interior included one semi-private section for larger groups, and cleverly placed covers that provided a sense of intimacy, akin to a mini Japanese dining room to some main tables. This thoughtful design was a boon for those who prefer their meals without the closeness of strangers.
The interior decor struck a balance between sophistication and approachability, evoking a down-to-earth yet subtly luxurious ambiance. The service was nothing short of exceptional. When I noticed an off taste in my beer, I decided to consult our server. To my surprise, he not only acknowledged my concern but also confirmed that the batch from the supplier was past its prime. He promptly replaced it with a refreshing Brutal Fruit, which I found even more enjoyable.
As for the culinary experience, every dish we tried was a delight. To top it off, the bill for our memorable meal came in at under 600 Rand for the two of us. All in all, our visits to Jeffrey's were marked by outstanding service, delectable food, and an atmosphere that struck the perfect chord between comfort and sophistication. We look forward to returning on future trips.

My partner and I visited the gorgeous Jay Bay and were advised to visit the Mexican for dinner.
From start to finish, it was an amazing experience. We were greeted with such friendliness and the restaurant had such a nice vibe. They have these wooden stands with a white material that offers you a bit of privacy which is very considerate .
Our waitress, Anuscke (apologies if the spelling is incorrect) was our superb waitress for the evening. She was very friendly and witty :)
The food was incredible! I would highly recommend the Nachos and strawberry daiquiri.

Had such an amazing time and experience there, again. Really Great place. Lovely vibe. GREAT Waiter (Young, very tall Bloke), who was very Friendly and helpfull. Took Family to show them, as Gerhard and I had Great time here before. Was not disappointed at all. Great Job! Great place! Great Food! Altogether GREAT, indeed! Surely a must visit!
We visited the restaurant on the 30 December 2018. Except for the fact that I have a walking difficulty because and had to use the stairs to get up to the restaurant, the atmosphere was very nice. The spot where we were seated inside, near the bar, was just a bit hot. No wind or draft until the barman brought us a Fan. We love hot and spicy food so the food was excellent and the prices are fare.
Have to start by saying that I've been here many times since 2019 and I still love it. The asmosphere is fantastic and staff are always excellent, especially the bar staff. The location is great too and, in the past, the food has been amazing. Lately though, in the last few weeks, the food has taken a serious dip. Everything else is still great but the kitchen seems to be messing up on some items. My beef nachos were soggy with a lot of liquid on the plate and I found a toothpick in my soft tacos. I hope things pick up again soon because this is one of my favourite places in JBay :)

Great selection of Mexican and none Mexican food items avaliable. Catering for all taste buds and needs, even a small kiddies section to keep the little rug rats happy.
Well stocked bar and friendly staff round off this little gem in Jbay. Went to visit twice this past weekend and was super happy, definitely can recommend the Nachos as a brilliant snack.
Will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone that's in and around Jbay.
Such a beautiful restaurant. Decided to go there for my birthday dinner/ 1 year engagement anniversary and they set us up in a booth with specialized eating utensils and balloons. A place that makes an effort for their customers!
