We were two large, rowdy tables set away from other patrons - so nice and private. The young lady serving us was amazing. She was friendly, efficient and took the orders, additional requests etc in her stride. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. What really impressed me, was that she asked if we wanted separate bills, when we arrived.
The food was really good. Most settled on various pizzas which they raved about. I had fish & chips and hubby a burger. Both were delicious and value for money.
Will definitely recommend and visit when we're next in Howick.
Lovely meal. I had bangers and mash. Very well priced. Wonderful cheerful atmosphere and excellent service. What a fabulous pub lunch. Will definitely be back on our next visit.
Recently, went back again and sampled the fish and chips. Love the spice on the chips!
Also tried Southern Style Grilled chicken with salad. A very generous portion and fresh and tasty.
I would have to say this is probably the best pizza I have ever had. My wife and I shared the Adam Pizza and it was amazing!!!! I hope we get to come back again!!
Visitor to the town on the weekend. This restaurant was recommended to me. Great food (best T Bone in a long time) good friendly service by the young ladies. Only problem was the food took way to long. Needless to say we ate there twice
Awesome atmosphere in the little town of Howick. This spot is the bet place to go on a chilly day as they have the fire going and the beer flowing. Do your self a favor if you are passing Howick, stop in for a pub lunch, you won't regret it.
We had the garlic snails starter and some great pizza. We were there on a Friday evening and the buzz was awesome.

Great food with fresh beer. Cozy pub style restaurant next to the main street. Had an amazing pizza. Thin crunchy base and a lot of cheese. Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly reception at the door. Made friends with all the staff quite easily, so I came back a few days later. The menu is incredible, with traditional European cuisine. The smell coming from the kitchen made me incredibly hungry! I can recommend this restaurant for good food and cold beer.
