Cute restaurant offering many vegetarian and vegan options. The staff was friendly and the food was “delish.” One of the best omelettes we’ve had on our trip.

Scenic cafe situated in the beautiful Hout Bay valley only a few minutes walk from the beach. Great breakfast and lunch options on the menu with dietary extras available. Enjoyed a Orange Carrot and ginger fruit juice with Avo, Poached egg on gluten free toast. Friendly atmosphere accompanied by polite table service. Look forward to visiting again.

Fresh hot coffee and fantastic food! Even at the midst of a power outage we received friendly, helpful service and warm delicious food!

This popular place can be hard on you as the place can be packed to the brim. The locals know why they come here, as the place is somewhat off the usual path of least resistance. But its charm, good food, and service make it a great hideout and a place you must go and visit. The cheesecake is to die for, and so was my chicken salad toasted sandwich. No overload of mayo in this masterpiece, just taste! I shall return soon!

Been here a couple of times now. What an awesome find. Cheesecake to die for and hummus salad that will save your life. In fact, all my friend's loved what they ordered. Everyone should go here!

'Delish' healthy food options and lovely wide array of choices. We were staying in the area and enjoyed breakfadr/brunch on Saturday AND Sunday. I enjoyed THE BEST French Toast ever!! Can't wait to drive to Hout Bay again for a consistently good meal. Owners are around and service is excellent!

Scouring Hout Bay for something new, we arrived at this quaint bistro / restaurant. Warm greetings at the door, a lovely nook table with coffee served very shortly, a must in the cold rainy weather. As breakfast is served all day, what a nice change, we ordered the house special. Special indeed,eggs, bacon, mushrooms in particular were absolutely bursting with flavour; Chef must be discerning in choice of ingredients. Visit, they are very good.

Best breakfast roll of scrambled eggs ( served all day too!!) on the lightest tossted Ciabiata roll! Wife polished off her chicken salad which was also fantastic. Will 100% be back!!

Was at this establishment today Sunday 19 November it wasn't the nicest day ever in Hout bay saying that the manager on duty offered is blankets as I was wearing shorts I ordered the egg and bacon roll on ciabatta bread it had a brown sauce (not BBQ sauce) omg it made the roll. Would like to go back when it's a nicer day

Order the white chocolate cheesecake!! As you’ve seen in other reviews, it is decadent and a must. The lox croissant with eggs was exactly what I was looking for - the croissant was fresh and buttery and the eggs were surprisingly amazing (I’m not always a fan of scrambled eggs.) The eggs Benedict was fabulous as well - at least the bite I stole! I want to come back for the nourish bowls that sound amazing! Cute ambiance and a fire place if you’re lucky enough to get the couches near it.

Had so many great breakfasts here during my stay in Hout Bay. Really nice outdoor area. Tasty food and coffee. Great service

I had the stuffed chicken and it was absolutely divine! I’ve recently been to one of the top restaurants in SA and nothing was as good as Delish’s stuffed chicken

Fresh ingredients, stellar service and sublime flavours make this cosy, friendly Hout Bay Deli hard to top. It remains a firm, family favourite.

Very quaint place with an lovely atmosphere. I must say the thing that I found the most hilarious was the corkage you have to pay for brining your own cake - CAKeAGE. Seems this place is very popular with the 'Koek en Tee Tannies' (cake and tea ladies). My breakfast was dilicious and the cuppucinos ranks around the 80% on my barometer!

My favorite all time place - its wonderful. Food is fabulous - everybody is so friendly- a five star plus

Such a stunning place. Decor is beautiful and the food is delish! Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Chilled, peaceful atmosphere. And to top it off, they're on the Entertainer app.

Although the ambience and aesthetic of the restaurant are quite pleasing. The coffee I was served was not exactly the standard I expected. The breakfast was undercooked in some parts and overly greasy in others. The dog friendly nature of the restaurant is wonderful however and the waiters were quick and helpful throughout.

A very homely restaurant serving fresh foods and delicious dessert cakes. I will definitely be back with some friends to enjoy the great hospitality from the staff. worth a visit with nice private little nooks for couples or big tables for the family...

Been meaning to write a review on this cosy new find for 3 weeks already so let me get to it! Found Delish on the Entertainer App and so glad we did. It's a cozy little Bistro with the most friendly owner who makes you feel very at home. The menu is diverse with meat, fish, burgers and even something called ''power bowls'' which consist of yummy bowls of a chosen protein with lovely fresh ingredients. I had the Seared Steak Bowl which was ''Delish'' and my wifes calamari was also really good. The prices are not over the top and one thing is for sure...we will be back soon. Keep up the great work!

Found this place through the entertainer. It's very cosy and neat. The calamari strips were delicious and the coffee too. Would definitely come back to try desserts.

Cute, little cafe hidden in Hout Bay. I'm always looking for a good cafe to go have brunch, lunch or coffee with a friend and I think I have found the perfect restaurant to do so. Service was excellent. The vegetarian food was scrumptious and the juices(and coffee) were really good! Can't wait to go back and try more on the menu :)

It's light and comfortable, and a great place to go for a breakfast or lunch. We sat in a corner on a makeshift couch with pillows against the wall which was wonderful and made the place even better. <br/>I had the chicken mayo toastie, which is on a ciabatta, and it was a great and refreshing lunch. I love to try Chai Lattes at places and as most other places, there is nothing special about theirs, but it was still nice. <br/><br/>I would definitely recommend it if you just want a nice lunch or breakfast, because their breakfast menu seems tasty too. I would definitely go back when I'm in that area again.

Been here twice and on both occasions the food was tasty, fresh and so scrumptious.I highly recommend their café lattes. However, the level of service could use some seasoning.

Very enjoyable spot in walking distance from where we're staying. I enjoyed the open sandwich chicken snitzel on wholewheat toast. The service was good & the restaurant had quirky, unique decor. Will be back for breakfast.

Family Sunday lunch. A cosy cafe in Hout Bay. Food was pretty average, no wow factors. The boys had burgers - the bun to pattie ratio was wrong -bun was massive, pattie was much smaller. I had the hot pot chicken pie which at R90 I felt was a bit overpriced as it was a rather small pie. tomato soup was flavoursome and good portion size. Coffee milkshake was good. Very friendly service and good ambience.

Great lunch at Delish. A real little gem in Hout Bay. Been here a few times and have never been disappointed by the service or quality of their food. Had a burger for lunch today, really outstanding.

After a hike we took our dogs and had breakfast here. We could sit anywhere outside with the dogs. Their coffees were wonderful. The Frittata was a hit (we opted for chourizo, cheddar and peppers) and the pesto scrambled eggs with polenta toast was super scrumptious (only criticism it had quite a bit of oil) but it was the perfect size and really tasty. Friendly staff and prompt service. Happy customers

A lovely place for a great breakfast and amazing coffee. The omelettes are just amazing. And the staff are so friendly and willing to accommodate you. There is a quirky look to the decor and the details around the restaurant is fun and interesting.

You know that moment when you walk into a place so excited to see what they have on offer & then you hear about all the delicious treats on offer and you basically start salivating ?!? Well, that just happened. The sound of Bar One & Butterscotch Cheesecake made that happen. I quickly ordered my take-away and 10 minutes later I was at home, spoon in hand ready to be amazed.. Well, amazed is one way to look at it. It looked delicious, small but delicious. Until I actually tasted it, it wasn't horrible per say, I mean if you want your cheesecake to taste like mousse with a combination of flavours then you probably would love it but a cheesecake should always remain a cheesecake no matter what flavours get added to it. To make matters worse I paid R45 for a small piece of this mousse and didn't even eat half of it. Quite a waste. Sorry, but I doubt I'll be back to sample anything else.

This time i went for late lunch with some friends ... The service is still friendly and efficient and the food did not disappoint me ... This place is now officially one of my family's favorites

I have been here twice and was very pleased both times. It is a bit removed from the usual hangouts in the hout bay area so the atmosphere is very relaxed. I had the halumi salad on my first visit and the bacon and brie burger on the second. Both meals were a bit over the top in portion size but I'm not complaining! As a big burger guy I highly recommend theirs as it was a huge patty and was crazy good!!! As for their salad.... It was a salad and I'm not a huge fan of them but this one I would order again and again!

Went to Deli Delish on 6/4/2015  for a light lunch.The service was terrible, and that is because it was a public holiday and half the staff decided to cut the shift short. All hats off to the one remaining waiter looking after all the tables. My wife had the quiche and claims its the best she had ever tasted. My lunch was good as well. Its a pity about the service, but I would really like to go to Delish a second time. Im sure it would be a much better experience.

Quiet compared to the chaos at the sea facing restaurants. Kids menu was perfect. <br/>My meal had the only issue... Ordered a ploughmans platter and it arrived with olives instead of tapenade, they forgot to make it ? also had to remind the waiter to bring the ale. <br/>My son's burger was fantastic and so was my hubby's sandwich which is why I said 3.5

Loved this so much for breakfast I came back for lunch the next day! I had the halloumi and grilled chicken salad - was delicious and they have amazing house dressing (always a huge plus)! Was drooling at the specials coming out of the kitchen. Will be back here.

It has a very nice vibe and a nice mixture of meal choices and drinks. <br/><br/>I had the "smash avo" with mushroom and my girlfriend had the omelette. Mine was very nice, but her omelette was very over cooked. <br/><br/>I would go back here in the future to try out more of their menu options.<br/><br/>

Great homey atmosphere, good food and coffee, free wifi. Overall a great deli in the heart of Hout Bay. I highly recommend taking a visit to deli delish. they have an amazing variety of teas and if you enjoy baked goods, this will definitely be the place for you!

The smell of the salty sea air surrounds you as you sit and done in the quaint setting they have created. The food is top notch and the cakes even better!

Was here for lunch on Saturday 31st May, 2014.<br/><br/>The waiters seemed a bit disinterested, but service was acceptable<br/><br/>We ordered the Fish Cakes main and Thai Mussels main. The fish cakes were far too big, with ony two served on the plate. Because they are so large, when you cut them open they tend to fall apart and crumble. I think they should consider rather doing 4 cakes at half the size of what they currently are. Then we found a large fish bone in one of the fish cakes too!<br/><br/>The Thai Mussels sauce was very nice and the mussels themselves were good and wellcooked, but almost every single mussel on the plate still had its beard attached, which is unacceptable. I then had to use my fingers to try to pull each one out which made the meal a bit messy and uncomfortable. This should be checked before they are cooked and would not have been difficult to notice.<br/><br/>We told the waiter to inform the manager of our complaint, but neither the manager or waiter bothered to come back to the table after that. Eventually I had to get up to go and find the manager, who I was then told had 'gone outside for a smoke', basically trying to avoid us until we left I think! We bumped into her coming back inside whilst we were leaving and she said she was told about the complaint and half mumbled an apology, but did nothing to address the issue or try to make amends in any way.<br/><br/>I had a 2 for 1 meal voucher, so wasn't too troubled about the mistakes, but for R85 and R89 respectively for the meals we had, if I was paying full price I would have been very dissapointed with what we got.<br/><br/> It is a nice venue, but I do feel they could do a bit more to improve the level of their food and customer service. I will be back soon to see if things are any better.<br/><br/>M,
