Their food is real good, real food made real good! I am all for Oskars, San Marie is hands on and knows what's cooking in all her pots!. Her food is consistently good. Further more there are banitng friendly options. Have a look at her restaurant, it is beautiful and quaint, look at her tapestries they are works of art! (labors of love) Attention to detail is San Marie.

If you want REAL FOOD, real ingredients, Oskars is the place to eat, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have never has a bad meal or a mediocre plate of food..

What an absolutely delightful breakfast spot! Our booking at Quarter's Hotel last year, included breakfast each morning at the Oskars across the road from the hotel. (Later discovered there are two in Hermanus, the other one is in Village Square).
I was smitten before the food arrived. The quirky, unpretentious, vintage feel of the place had me clicking away just to remember the gorgeous ornaments and knick-knacks on display. So by the time the food arrived, I was already a fan. The food made me a fanatical fan ;-) Thee most perfect eggs and mushroom combo ever. To this day my hubby spends Sunday mornings cooking eggs and mushrooms "like we had at Oskar's", as we live on the False Bay coast so weekly trips to Hermanus is not possible! Everywhere we eat breakfast we compare the eggs, mushrooms and muffins to Oskar's! A must-do when in Hermanus ♡

A bit noisy, due to tiles on walls, but it also helps to keep the place really clean.
A great spot for a quick morning takeaway breakfast! They were also the only open coffee shop we could find early in the morning in this street. Very good baked treats!
I have been coming to Oskars
Even before my baby was born but we are frequent customers and the staff never forget us! Every time we come in we get greeted with huge smiles and greeting my now almost 1 year old by name. We love coming to Oskars every time were in the area, we LOVE the laptop ban, it creates a chilled and laid back atmosphere to enjoy your coffee and croissant. Thank you for a wonderful space we come back to time and time again x

Excuse the takeaway box but oh my goodness, this gluten and dairy free chocolate cake is absolutely delicious!!! Had to go back two days later to get again.
Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. One order was slightly mistaken but they corrected it no problem. Would definitely come back!
Have to be honest, I didn’t get to go inside: our host just bought pies and cakes and a loaf of bread for us and each of those were amazing. So I can’t help but leave a top rating!
