I can sincerely say that this was the most delightful explosion of different tastes in one small apple cake that I have ever experienced. Highly recommend it . Please note the actual restaurant is about 500m down the sand road. Chef Renoir will open the restaurant for a group of more than 8 people.
Brilliant little gem in Magaliesburg. Absolutely loved the atmosphere, the warm energy and the super delicious food! Art and love on a plate. My taste buds will force me to go back again and again. Renoir, you totally rock!
This is the most amazing little jewel in the country. The food and service are amazing. A very interesting menu at a very reasonable price. The chef/owner is wonderful personality. This restaurant deserves many return visits!
Great little eatery - fine dining experience at an affordable price...was there again yesterday ... SOOOO NICE! And spring has brought lovely flowers and green grass!
A peaceful and beautiful venue.. Chef Renoir has cultivated and built everything you see just like he does his food. And his food is out of this world incredible! There are dishes on offer for everyone: meat eaters, vegans and vegetarians and the same care is taken with the food as is with the patrons that frequent his establishment. Available for small private and corporate events or casual dining ( though booking is essential, ) I would wholeheartedly suggest people take a drive out to experience this unique restaurant on weekends. Safe and family friendly too :D

What a surprise finding the Sprout and Sprocket restaurant about 500m down a gravel road off the R563.
Spent a lovely Thursday evening with my wife and enjoyed every morsel of the 4 coarse set menu.
Chef Renoir will delight your senses with freshly prepared dishes. Tomato cappuccino, humus, burger with a twist and rhubarb, kiwi and nut parfait.
Go and enjoy a meal at a restaurant where you actually meet the chef.

What a gem to find in Hekpoort! I've now eaten at Sprout & Sprocket a few times, trying different veggie or vegan dishes each time – everything has been absolutely delicious. Renoir seems to be a master at combining interesting ingredients to form exquisite flavour profiles that turn an ordinary dish into something extraordinary. Portions are very generous, too, and I look forward to returning for more mouthwatering goodness.

A beautiful, lush and tranquil setting, an authentic South African "stoep"... sprout and sprocket is an entire experience of ambiance and flavours. Everything made with great quality products that are local and seasonal, this eatery is a gem every food lover should experience. With a "hoot for food" sign at the gate and the option of instructing the chef to "feed" you without even looking at the menu, you are guaranteed to be blown away by the expertise and charm of Chef Renoir.
