Quiet and aesthetically pleasing ambiance. Conveniently located on the main road with ample space to accommodate large gatherings and events. The culinary experience is exquisite, highlighted by the delightful calamari and rice salad, a surprising delight for someone not accustomed to consuming fish. The plate was savored swiftly, prompting a desire for seconds. The dessert, a tiramisu, was equally exceptional, rounding off the dining experience on a high note.
Malay lamb curry was wonderfully flavorful, with soft and delicious lamb and potatoes. My only suggestion would be to serve yellow rice, perhaps with raisins, in keeping with the Malay style. Chicken livers were tasty. Chocolate fondant dessert was one of the best ever. Will certainly make a repeat visit one day. Highly recommended
We were so glad this restaurant was able to serve their full menu while load shedding was taking place in Greyton! We ordered their sirloin and pork belly, both were delicious dishes, and their portions are very generous!
The restaurant is pet friendly for outdoor seated patrons.
Great table reserved, over the phone, great food, and well trained staff! Thank you for your hospitality, Andre! Excellent and surely the best restaurant in Greyton. Gustave and Ursula and our princesses will always recommend this!
Super dinner with friends. Such a lovely welcome and good service. Everyone in our party of 8 liked their food. Large portions so we only managed a main course. Reasonable corkage charge. Recommended.
Incredible food. The menu is limited to chefs choice...so everything tastes amazing! The portions are more than generous. Bookings are essential and beware that some items may be sold out by the end of the night. I had fall-of-the-bone honey glazed ribs which my fellow diners thoroughly enjoyed as well. For dessert I ordered a chocolate fondant, although the creme brulee and Amarula sundae looked delicious. We did wait a while for the food; however, this restaurant comes highly recommended for a reason. A true Greyton gem.
Andre made us feel at home and what an awesome meal we had. Walked to the restaurant and back and were truly satisfied with great food and ambiance. Will certainly return.
Abbey Rose, all we can say is WOW!!
If you are looking for an out of town trip, or even more so if you staying in Greyton. You have to stop by Abbey Rose, the new ownership has made such a huge difference. The menu boasts familiar favorites. We tried the beef capaccio, prawns, calamari and gnocchi alla fungi. The food was clearly cooked from the heart of a very passionate chef and team. Every single bite was full of emense flavour. Prawns 20/10, Carpaccio 20/10, Gnocchi 20/10, Calamari 20/10.
The location is perfect(on the main road) beautiful outdoor section with a traditional set up inside.
They also have a beautiful rose garden worth a gentle stroll after an amazing meal.
Very excited to come back soon!!
The best pork belly ever. And my husband's springbok pie delicious. Would like to recommend to anyone visiting greyton! Do not miss a meal here!!
Without a doubt - the best ribs in the Western Cape! Tender and juicy - finger licking good! The ambiance is amazing with all the candles and the fire place. The owner really gives personal attention to all the tables. You can’t come to Greyton without having dinner at Abbey Rose.
