Wow, this was such a fun experience. It was packed, had to wait a while, but they kept us updated on how long it would take and it was defnitely worth the wait. The doughssant together with a flat white was a perfect weekend treat. The staff is super friendly!
I was so in love with the style of the bakery. I Think the interior is very well done and is ascetically pleasing . The design appeals to the modern age bakery/coffee shop . I love that it was busy and bustling , with people from all walks of life. The food was delicious and portion size was spot on . I could finish my meal and still be satisfied. The kitchen was an open plan , you could see everything happening and I liked the honesty of it . You could see how clean and well kept up the food preparation area was . It gave me a sense of ease to see what’s happening in the kitchen area. My only flaw was the menu . Was rather plain and lazy to have 3 pieces of paper stapled together. The menu simple but a little vague and hard to understand. Staff was friendly and prompt with their service. Overall a great experience!
Jason Bakery is a Cape Town foodie’s bucket list item for sure! Famous for devilishly decadent doussants, pasteis de nata and a bevy of other pastries to make your heart sing, plus fresh energizing coffee - it’s the official and best way to start your day in Cape Town! Do it!

Absolutely exquisite meal as always from the bread and pastry king! Really scrumptious mushrooms, and my eggs were perfectly cooked. Fresh squeezed juice, lovely fresh ingredients. The portions are hearty and generous. We always leave with boxes full of takeaway bread and pastries too! One of the beat breakfast spots in Cape Town. Any of the breakfast options are fantastic. Service is great too!
Went here for breakfast with my mate. We sat outside, caught some sun and enjoyed the view. My mate and I both had the bomb, the croissant was toasted slightly, the bacon was perfectly prepared. Absolutely divine coffee, great service too. Oh and the sourdough was ridiculously delicious! Defs would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Been wanting to visit Jason Bakery for a while now, it has great reviews so expected great food! I really enjoyed the food and coffee! I had the inception bomb it was really yummy would definitely recommend it. My husband had the bacon and eggs flapjacks he loved it! Great atmosphere and friendly staff! Will definitely return!
Jason Bakery is one of my favorite coffee shops in Green point! This cute little place has the most amazing pastries. Especially on the weekends! Give them a follow on Instagram to see what they sell👀 I had the carrot cake truffle. Honestly it just melted in my mouth. The flavor of white chocolate really blends well with the carrot cake. I ordered a cafe mocha which is one of my favorites to have here. The staff are really friendly and is a great place to bring your family and friends for breakfast or just a treat! ❤
Really nice atmosphere and a great location that's ideal for weekends. The price of the food matches the quality and the attention to the presentation. Good layout and the staff was friendly and always close by. Overall a really good selection of food, pastries and coffee.
We had a lovely time at Jason’s bakery. The food was delicious, we also got pastries to go and they were so yum! We didn’t wait very long for our food, the service was friendly and it was a great price! Will definitely be back!
We had a great breakfast at Jason's Bakery, the food was really good, tasty, good size portions. The staff was friendly & although there was a constant queue the kitchen coped really well & we didn't wait too long for for our food. The pastries was SO GOOD & SO FRESH. Highly recommended & we'll visit again soon!!
Asked for a cheese and bacon croissant and was told they were out of stock but I could order a cheese croissant and a side of bacon? A little baffled by this considering they had all 3 ingredients. Staff were very friendly the two times I visited. Food was good.
Amazing breakfast place. Way beyond my expectations. First day in South Africa and this was my first meal and what a mean it was. The coffee excellent and the dirty eggs with croissant great and the avocado on toast is the best I’ve had.
Super busy bakery and coffee shop, lucky we were able to get a table. Staff were really friendly but seemed to be under pressure to cope with the rush. We waited quite a long time for our drinks order and when we did get our drinks the water was tepid for the tea so not really great and we had to try find a waiter to bring us milk. Food was absolutely delicious though, Eggs Benedict sauce was really good - homemade and not out of a bottle, the seed toast absolutely delicious. Avo on toast really good and I loved my apple crumble oats. We ordered more drinks but I never received my red flat white so that was a bit disappointing. We would definitely go back though when in Greenpoint again.
A no fuss café and restaurant. I ordered Capuccino and an almond Croissant, both were top notch, service was quick and atmosphere was good. It has also started serving Nepolitan Pizza (dough advertised as 72 hr fermented), probably a reason to come back again. Plenty of seating space and in a touristy area with plenty to offer. Do give it a try if you are in this area.
Delicious food. We had the avo smash, which was excellent. The pesto and feta on it were a nice surprise. Coffee was good too.
Let me just start by saying that I love a café with books as part of their decor😊. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was rather packed but luckily they still had a few tables open. Their service was great and the staff friendly👌🏼. We ordered lattes made from a really nice bean (a teensy bit strong for my liking but I think they put in a double shot of espresso). So if you love a strong cup of coffee, you'll definitely enjoy it more. We then had the weekend breakfast special which was a bagel with cream cheese, shrooms and a perfectly poached egg--extremely delicious👌🏼. We also tried the dirty eggs and boi oh boi was that yummy! It was scrambled eggs, Colby cheddar, chives, caremalised onions, Sriracha mayo on their sweet homemade milk bun--utterly delicious! Location is also great; they are situated on a street with lots of restaurants and just a short walk from the beach and the stadium. Also give Giovanni's a visit for some yummy international goods when you are in the area😉.
It's a pretty big, spacious cafe. Windows and big door open, good ventilation. Small terrace to sit outside. Clean tables (hand sanitizer on every table) and very friendly staff.
Food is very tasty and very fresh.
