Lovely fresh fish and calamari. Chips are crisp and freshly fried. Atmosphere is lovely and clean. Always a pleasure to visit here…

So we took abit of everything to try it all out and "TAWLERS" gets a full 5⭐ from me, the food here is 👌10/10. very good job guys the staff very friendly and helpful the place clean and cozy, loved my experience keep up the good work!

This is a place you must not miss. The best meal we had on holiday. The food was exquisite and although we got there just before closing the staff went out of their way to enable us to have a fantastic meal. Definitely a place I will travel to go back to.

Trawlers is an informal fish, seafood and chips eatery that fronts Beach Road in Gordon's Bay small downtown area. If you like fish'n'chips places, you'll be more than happy eating here. Just remember that it's self-service and that it doesn't have a liquor license. The food is almost all fried, but it's fresh and inexpensive. Portions are generous and service is fairly fast.

This Seafood restaurant takeaway has a great view on Gordons Bay beach, perfect for sunset time. We usually order prawns and chips or hake calamari and chips combo. It is always very delicious and well cooked. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Food is cooked fresh per order. The outside seating area is clean and bright with murals on the wall that add a happy vibe.

Trawlers Seafood is a clean and colourful eatery with a wide variety on their menu and reasonable prices. We in particular enjoyed the calamari and would have loved to try other items on the menu! The staff were friendly and I was struck by how clean the establishment is. The food was prepared quickly and was fresh and tasty. A must try in my book.

I enjoyed my seafood platter here. I was really looking forward to it and it certainly didn't disappoint. I was a bit let down with the garlic sauce as it seemed like they took the crushed garlic and added it to a creamy based, not great. Other than that, everything else was delicious and so worth the wait. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. I've just recently found out that I am allergic to seafood, so that was my last platter 😭😭😭. Do yourselves a favour when in Gordon's Bay and go and have anything off their menu.

Nice quint seafood take-aways with some undercover seating/tables right opposite the beach. Very reasonable priced with good portions served. Service was quick, efficient and strict Covid protocols are adhered to.

We arrived at closing time. We were still served with a smile and the lights were left on the deck for us to eat. Fantastic service...thank you.

Family friendly seafood place. More than just a fish and chips. My wife and I shared a seafood platter and we got the kids meals for the little ones. The hake was great and the sauce for tge mussels really nice. The toy that comes with the kids meal was an added bonus as this entertained the kids while we were enjoying the view and ambience of the beach. The food was really nice and fresh, the view great and staff were smiling. Stop here when traveling through Gordons Bay, it's well worth a visit..

Not sure what the previous reviewer is on about, the portions sizes are great and the food is delicious! Great vibe in and around the shop, prices are on par with similar shops. You cannot compare drink prices with a cafe, as they have different costings, that is like complaining that the beer in a bar is more expensive than the liquor store..<br/><br/>Anyway, awesome place and well worth a visit!

Paid R90.00 for snoek and chips & R75.00 for hake and chips. First of all the chips was oily and soggy as if it was fried in old oil. Then the snoek was served cold and the hake seemed like it was undersized. Paying is not a problem, but then i would expect to be served something decent.My local fish shop serves better food at a much lower price. Just a pity that tourist must experience this type of service. Bought cool drinks at the cafe in the road for half the price that they charge.

By far the best seafood in Gordon's Bay. The staff were friendly, professional and we didn't wait long for our food. Trawlers has new owners since last year and you can clearly see (and taste) the difference! We ordered a family meal and was more than enough food for 4 people. Be sure to try Trawlers when in Gordon's Bay.

You get fish and chips and then you get fish and chips. Some of the freshest hake and calamari I've ever tasted. Nothing fancy, just good ol' fish and chips done the right way!

A little gem facing the beach in Gordon's Bay. Food is great and the atmosphere relaxed. Perfect for sitdown or take-aways. The staff is friendly and service swift. BYOB.

Worst fish and chips ever and the calamari wasn't any better. The problem is that their is no other place to eat in close proximity so even though the food is far below mediocre they will continue to make money even though the food was terrible

I received a voucher from Zomato for Trawlers, if I hadn't, I'm not entirely convinced that I would have chosen to eat here. The food was fresh and portion size was generous but it's a typical lower- end fish and chips takeaway. We were helped by a lovely hostess/waitress and even received the kiddies toy (bubbles in an ice cream shaped container). Had a nice busy vibe but definitely not necessarily somewhere I'd choose to go again based on preference for ambience when I go out to eat, spending hard-earned money.

When in Gordon's Bay, Trawlers is the place to go. They serve the freshest fish I've ever tasted. <br/><br/>There staff is friendly and the service topnotch!

Work around the corner and felt like a fish burger and thought I'd try Trawlers for a change. What a bad idea, was honestly the most mushy fish I've ever had. Could not even bare to finish it. Rather walk a few meters up the road to Ooskus and get proper fish.

The fish was very average, not too impressed but, the calamari was sensational! The tar-tar sauce recipe wasn't that nice considering you had to pay R8. Overall, it was ok but the calamari will be ordered from me again!
