Absolutely delicious food,the chilli,cheesy garlic naan was to die for ,we had the prawn masala,chicken vindaloo,lamb vindaloo and their famous butter chicken and they did not disappoint at all,my kids declared that their bombay crush was the best ever! Great atmosphere,the host rashu is an absolute star with her bubbly.welcoming personality that just adds a little more to your dining experience,the staff are so attentive, well done GATE TO INDIA HILLCREST,finally a unique Indian restaurant with tasty,top quality dishes...

As a lover of Indian cuisine, I was excited to indulge in a variety of dishes that highlighted the robust spices and unique combinations synonymous with Punjabi cooking. Delicious food and excellent service! Their samoosas are unusual looking but outstanding - crispy pyramids stuffed with filling and served with a fresh green sauce, be sure to share these unless it's your main course, as they are big. We had 2 different veg curries, both of which were delicious. Very attentive service, very reasonably priced. My new go-to Indian restaurant!

Lovely atmosphere, friendly owners and staff. The menu caters for everyone. Perfect for sharing a variety of meals as a group. Vegetarian and vegan options. Samosas are the best I have ever had. Authentic and flavourful We are so lucky to have this restaurant in our neighborhood! You can dine in the restaurant (inside and outside areas), grab a take away or Uber Eats/Mr D but I highly recommend dining in to experience the hospitality.
I had the pleasure of trying this fantastic restaurant for the first time, and just WOW. Fantastic food, if you want to taste and enjoy authentic Indian cuisine, I highly recommend Gate of India. The butter chicken was by far the best in Durban , as well as their garlic naan. Will definitely be coming back !
Beautifully nestled away in the heart of Gillits...this venue is perfect with or without kids. The food is Delicious, the service is always with a smile and the new owner personally gives you attention. We had a relaxing evening unwinding after a hectic week. You can eat in or order as take out! All meals were freshly prepared, so grab a drink as you patiently await your meals.

Absolutely love this place. The food is amazing, with every bite you have a new burst of flavours. Service is always so friendly and attentive. Plenty of vegan options to choose from. Food and drinks are well priced.
Our food was absolutely delicious! We haven’t had a takeaway curry like that in years. Can’t believe we haven’t got curry from you for so long, we will be back sooner this time. Fresh, authentic, tasty and great portions! Oh and not to mention, divine vegan options. Thank you!
