We had our 35th York Reunion at your restaurant on Saturday.

The food was spectacular and your staff made it to be such a memorable and special occasion, which we as the class of 83 will never forget. Two of us went back there for breakfast yesterday and it was just as great

As a Joburg foodie, I am amazed time and time again at the exceptional standard of Meade 101’s food. This restaurant is a hidden gem in the Garden Route but deserves a mention on any Top10 restaurant in SA list, far exceeding the best in Joburg in terms of attention to detail, ambiance, wine list and flavour. Well done, team.

A lovely evening spent at 101 Meade. The second time we have been when we visit George from Jhb. First time we thought it was ok but our supper on Wednesday evening was superb. Our waitress Tamsyn was delightful and made our evening. We started with the butternut and wild mushroom soup, the wild mushrooms were out of this world! I had the prawn risotto for main and my husband had the veggies and sirloin. He was in heaven, the veggies beautifully steamed and meat cooked to perfection (better than our local meat restaurants in Bryanston). Lovely atmosphere and beautiful restaurant, George needs a few more.. *my only feedback is that the portions can be smaller
We heard about 101 Meade on the journey to George and it sounded good. It surpassed our expectations, with a wonderfully warm and inviting ambience, relaxed but funky vibe and the food!!! I walked in expecting a 3 star experience and let with a 5 star smile.
Lunch with the Mrs along with friends. 101 was recommended to us by one of them. Not expecting much, you walk into a fantastic ambience with a room that is seeped in culture. Staff are friendly and attentive, with the chefs seeming to be enjoying themselves in the open plan kitchen. Food was enjoyed by all and I imagine anything you order in their seasonal menu is delicious. I would definitely recommend 101 to anybody who is on a garden route experience.
Having had a few hours to spare after our Garden Route roadtrip and before a flight out of George, we came uon this gem just in time for lunch on the Sunday before Christmas. The art, decor, Africanacity and ambience is beautiful - fresh Cape flowers, cool ceiling fans, large tables, full wine racks, super attentive staff - but nothing compares to the quality and taste of the food, each item, even humble sides, made to perfection! They could cater better for vegans though. But all in all, HUGE compliments to the chefs (who you can see spinnjng their masterpieces in the open kitchen), the wait staff and the conceptualiser. Superb.
An enjoyable Back to Basics/Earth Hour Dinner - no electricity or gas!One of the very best meals we have ever had the pleasure of enjoying - gazpacho, salmon, fillet and the crumble dessert - all excellent.

This restaurant blew us away, was not expecting much, not knowing George we thought the area was a bit sketchy, but once you walk inside you forget about everything.
The food was amazing, even the bread they serve before the meal, the mustard butter is wow, the service was very good, not just one waiter served us, the team works together and made the experience better.
The best Chicken curry I've ever had, and I can't wait to try something else on the menu, everything sounds delicious. The starters were also amazing, but I won't order a starter in the future, as the mains are pretty huge and you don't want to spoil your appetite. Great atmosphere and the presentation of the meals are out of this world. Will definitely go back
Great ambience, and delectable food presented artfully. We tried the oysters, the ravioli, and the line catch of the day (kingclip). The latter was filling, with great flavors. Highly recommended!
