What a surprise. A quick visit to the sleepy hollow of Gansbaai and having to dodge load shedding, brought us to the Goose. I really liked the menu, which oozed quality, because it's limited. A really good wine list too. The food did not disappoint and neither did the wine. The service was absolutely amazing. This is a world class establishment with a great vibe. Well done!
Best little gem this side of the world not to mention the food is out if this world ... But our highlight was our waitress Andrea omg what a beautiful person ... She served us with so much passion her whole personality could be heard and felt in the restaurant....and definitely made our special evening even more rememorable... Thank you to the team..chef and staff you will definitely see us again
Blue Goose was very good. A bit pricier than other places in Gansbaai, but that’s not a bad thing. It was by far the best food we’ve had here, and look forward to coming back often. The springbok carpaccio and beef espetata were the shining dishes of the evening, though the fillet was also lekker. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The wine selection is extensive and quite nice.
Be sure to make a reservation as they can regularly fill up.

Eating out deserves to be an experience that lasts long after the last bite’s flavour has left your taste buds. It deserves to be an event, not just a necessity. Dining at Blue Goose in Gansbaai offers you that event and provides you with an atmosphere of elegance, tranquility, beautiful setting in a magazine worthy decorated space as well as a magical garden. The food is beyond expectation. I’ve learned to savour good food experiences here in the Overstrand, but so far, this must be one of my favourite places to go for a sensational food and mind experience.
A unique ambience is created from early evening with the low hanging sun filtering through the greens in the stunning garden and the sound of the ocean lapping somewhere beyond the walls. Later the oil lamps provide a golden glow to the romantic settings of colour and harmony. Interior spaces have been decorated with flair and variety. The joining of old and modern fill the place with focal points similar to what I have experienced in Paris.
I love it. I cannot add more to encourage you to take the time to treat a special someone to a dining memory here. You will be so pleasantly surprised.
I gladly share with you some photographs that I took recently when I had the glorious lamb shank for dinner. If ever you want to enjoy food, you have to at least try Blue Goose once; once a week, once a month, once a year or even once in a lifetime. Worth every cent that you spend.

Best restaurant in Gansbaai!! It has the most elegant and beautiful decor and the garden is like a little Oasis and at night time the lighting makes for a romantic setting . The food was delicious but service lacked a bit because they were under - staffed on a busy Saturday evening. Will recommend
Oh man have you ever had the perfect meal. This place deserves every star they have. The food was amazing 👏 compliments too the chef once again. I made sure our waiter when and told her that I sad that. Beautiful atmosphere and settings, it was worth every cent. I will come back too Gansbaai just for you. Thank you again.
After 2 years, we visited the new Blue Goose, and wow, what a great experience, divine food and awesome service from Marlene!!
The new setting is great, so lekker sitting on the Patio and overlooking the beautiful garden.
Riaan and his team truly set the bar, and well done, we will be back!!!

Wow, really great place to go to. I would say it is a must if you are in the area. The staff was wonderful with great service. The food was top class and there is quite a bit of gluten free options available or are able to convert an option into a gluten free variety. Suggest calling ahead to make a booking.
