The ostrich was incredible. All the food was incredible infact. They have local game depending on the day's hunt. Our waitress was lovely.
We had an excellent meal here, service was very considerate and friendly and the meat was sublime. We had the lamb chops and the bone-in sirloin and both were melt in your mouth good. We were seated close to the kitchen which had a whirring industrial noise in the background which ruined the atmosphere a bit for us, but did enjoy the fireplace warming us from behind. I think other seats in the resto would be cozier. The malva pudding ice cream and custard weren’t that great (the ice cream tasted a bit processed and the custard wasn’t sweet enough) but the complimentary vodka chocolate cocktail at the end brought up the sweet level nicely. We would definitely come here again for the meat and warm service.
It was my birthday we booked for a dinner. Food and service we got was amazing. A lot of thanks to our waitress Belinda for a good service.

Hussar Grill exceeds expectations with Louis and his team's exceptional professionalism. The steak, a masterpiece of culinary precision, consistently arrives at the pinnacle of perfection, making every visit a delectable experience worth savoring.
Outstanding food and excellent service. The starters (tomato soup and mussels) were fresh and delicious, the grilled prawns were juiced and perfectly cooked. What stood out for us, however, was the quality of the red meat. The fillet steak filled with smoked oysters and cheese was without hesitation one of the tenderest, most flavourful steaks we have ever tasted.
Place was empty so we had attentive service. Our waiter was pleasant and our food (rump) was well aged, tender and tasty. All in all a good evening out.
Thembi, our waitress for the evening, provided some of the best service we’ve ever had. A bright smile and genuine interest in her job as well as us, the guests, makes for such a memorable experience. The steaks we had were also done just to our liking and we will certainly be back on our next trip to Franschhoek.
We had a wonderful last night of our honeymoon trip at the Hussar and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely wonderful and the staff brilliant - we were luckily assisted by Ennock that made sure we had the best time. Can not recommend enough!
We had such a nice date night here! Steak tartare and calamari were amazing to start and the burgers were cooked perfectly. All of the staff were amazing too! Definitely coming back!
