Exceptional food at Le Bon Vivant this evening. Service was on cue - attentive and professional. 6 course Chef Selection was incredible, beautiful smoked Trout, Quail, Prawns, Line fish, Venison and the most incredible trio of desserts. A real treat.
It is one of the best reastraunts in Franschoek. The food was delicious and presentable. Compliments to the chef. The service was excellent. Great atmosphere. I just love this reastraunt. I will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for your outstanding service and meal.

On holidays Le Bon Vivant was recommend by our host of Petit Hermitage, James! We cannot thank him enough for this tip! Together with his most comfortable accommodation the two experiences made our stay in this town a unique experiences we will not forget!
Pierre's, the chefs food was out of this world! The quality of the products, the expert preparation, the presentation, which took into consideration the different senses, the palate, the eyes, the nose, just to die for! One of us went for the tasting surprise menu including wine recommendations, the other for a starter and main course a la carte. Both of us were so enthusiastic that we decided on the spot to come back the next evening! I asked again for the surprise menu asking not to get the same courses as the day before. No problem! And as we were a little wary of a possible disappointment the second time, we couldn't have been more wrong! We enjoyed every bite and every sip! Sitting in front of the open fire, seeing Pierre and his colleagues working behind the big glass windows, him watching the guests from time to time for expressions of satisfaction, we had a memorable culinary experience we are grateful for!
Having some experience foodwise from different countries and areas, we want to stress that our meals at Le Bon Vivant are second to none.
It was a cold raining evening so decided to visit chefs Pierre Restaurant for dinner with friend. The food was delicious & well presented. we had a cozy fire place to go with the vibe. Great service by Sylvia & Felicia. Thank you the beautiful experience.

Dishes not too big but very tasty, wine glasses portioned well. Got some nice “on the house” treats.
Only slight problem is that food takes a LOT of time to come out.
This is fine dining at its best, master chef South Africa. Also reasonably priced.
Good atmosphere, I ordered set course with reasonable price. Every dishes serve with decoration. Tasty and impressive. The restaurant was located in center with car park available. Recommended!!!!

The fine dining experience was to die for. We had a 4 course menu for our anniversary. The service is impeccable. However, we ended our dinner with poor candle lighting after load shedding hit. I only wish they could devise a better option for lighting in case power goes out. Otherwise, the food and service was just on point!
We messed up a booking and scrambled to find an alternative. We found Le Bon Vivant on Dine Plan and promptly booked. No regrets!
Our waitress was funny, friendly and extremely accommodating.
What a setting where you can see the whole kitchen behind glass preparing meals. Owner and chef, Pierre Hendriks, personally involved with you meal preparation.
All the food was great! As a surprise, we were not keen on sweets but the ladies were. They brought us one plate with all the different puddings and 4 teaspoons! What a great idea!! We all got a little sample of amazing pudding. Thank you guys! Will easily come back to this unassuming top restaurant.
