Popped in for a Sunday afternoon lunch. Three of the party of four opted for the buffet and it was excellent. The fourth member ordered the Irish Stew and it was phenomenal. Friendly staff and good value for money. We will be back.
Their private dining rooms are the best thing about this place. If you’re looking for an affordable place that has a touch of home for you and your friends this is it. Perfect on Sundays because of their buffets. The staff is really friendly too.
Went here for my husband's birthday last night. Loved it. They had a very nice local craft beer which I loved and the food was absolutely amazing. It's not often when you go to a restaurant and there's too much food for the plate, real value for your money!!! I love the fact that they have such a lot of space in the smoking section and that it's under cover but still open. The only downside was I asked for something special to be done for my husband's birthday when I made the booking and I think this was forgotten slightly, but other than that, amazing place. Will go there again.
Very pleasant wide open veranda to sit and enjoy a meal. The inside I found to be a bit cramped and claustrophobic - and it could all do with a bit of a revamp. Cigarette holes in the table cloth - really?
However the lamb shank we had was fantastic. Shank served in a bowl of rich and tasty gravy, and the chips crispy. My lunch partner had the lamb shank with vegetables and was suitably impressed.
As a pub venue - exactly what it is supposed to be, bit could be better with a make-over and some new furnishings.
Don't expect to be wowed, told the specials or a fine dining experience. However do expect cold beer, lovely pub food and a hint of live music who sounds like they've been drinking too.
Ill admit I never paid this place much attention except one day when my car was at the car wash and I stopped by for lunch. They had their carvery out ( which was delicious) and the vibe was pleasant for a Sunday morning. The food was divine, the meats cooked tender and full of flavor, he sides ample and well done and their cocktails yummyour waiter was attentive but not over imposing.
I once was invited to a private room supper at this place, I don't remember much of it , so I guess I had a good time.
Awesome venue for a pub-stype meal or after-work drinks but really comes into its own on game day. As an avid Arsenal FC fan and this being official Arsenal Supporters Club SA - it really makes you feel at home. Very few venues keep their level of service consistent when it comes to overcrowding (big football matches, etc.) But this is one of them. Definitey worth a visit for the atmosphere alone.
Food was ok but the service and the flexibilty of the staff was unbelievable. Booked the private room for a birthday and both managers and waiters were all very accomodating.
Ordered their mixed combo. It was average pub food but had an excellent time with some good friends and good grub and goodwine!
Private room is highly recommended for more intimate occasions!
Really enjoy coming to the Brazen head. Down to earth good cooking and always a great experience. Friendly staff and good service. Need to get here for the live music more often.
Love going to the Brazen Head, food is always good and the service not too bad. Always something happening and it is close to home. It is almost like having a home cooked meal.
