Passing a billboard advertising a three course Chinese meal for only R70 seemed to good to be true so my wife and I popped in a few days later. We had a lovely meal - rather too much food actually - and thought that when we returned again for we most certainly will, we would forgo the dessert. This is a very unpretentious restaurant but obviously popular as there were only two tables empty on our visit. This is not fine dining but it is good wholesome Chinese (Western) fare.
When Danyaal Shabudin and I visited this establishment last week we had both be craving good Chinese food and we were certainly not disappointed. From the authentic setting to the friendly staff, we enjoyed every second of our visit. The chow mein was exactly to my liking, a great variety of vegetables that were perfectly cooked and also, lots of meat for my boyfriend who avoids the veg at all costs! The dim sum was amazing and I cannot wait to see more of this place in the future!
WOW, my husband and I both agree that this is the best thai food we have ever had in South Africa. I think it may even beat my favorite Thai restaurants in America too. From now on we are going to get takeaway from here all the time. Can't wait to try the Ostrich curries! Very reasonable price too.

Love the food, Although the restaurant itself is a bit too mellow i suggest going with a lively crowd but over all the food is good. My favorite sushi place in fish hoek.
Had the 12 piece variety salmon sushi, spicy chicken stir fry with noodles, and Friday chicken wontons. A lot of great food for an extremely reasonable price!
My husband and I were really impressed with the food. We did a takeaway and ordered the Vegetable Pad Thai and Beef Chili and Basil Noodles. It was really good! We will definitely be back. :)
I have probably been to this restaurant or ordered take-out about fifty times in the last year! This is my (and my family and boyfriend's) go to place for all Asian food.
Yes, there is not a plentiful view. Yes, the decor is not great. But their food is spectacular and although small with only a few staff members they are friendly and know to "swap the tuna for prawns" whenever I order a dish. They serve a daily special of 30 sushi pieces for R129 which can rival any well known establishments in regards to portion size and money worth.
Shin Thai Kitchen definitely has it all, their Sushi is amazing and fresh, their Thai food is the absolute best (definitely worth trying their Green curry with the coconut rice), and their Cashew Chicken is by far my favorite! I can't wait to eat there again :)

The only downside is that they only take cash, but for the R200 we had on us, we managed to order a pot of jasmine tea that had real jasmine flowers in it, sushi platter and a relatively decent sized portion of green curry with rice. Everything was delicious, the waiter didn't interrupt our meal like at other places and it was quiet which was great! Sorry we couldn't tip more, we didn't know it was cash only. We'll be back with more people next time. Thanks for a great evening!

This is a place to visit for awesome fresh food, amazing sushi, unbelievable value, but sadly dated in terms of decor. The lunch special is simply unbeatable and really well prepared. So if you're happy to be in what's more a cafe style venue with no views, but want to eat great food that's well prepared and good portions, this is well worth a visit. Bear in mind you can have your meal take away and eat it on the beach if you like!!
This is a totally underrated gem of a restaurant.
Not very well known, I guess because it doesn't look like anything special from outside, but a menu full of delights for the palette!
Their sushi is the best in the valley, in my opinion...
One major point to take note of before dining here, they do not accept any cards at all.

Nice variety of Asian food, unbeatable lunch menu, and very decently priced sushi. Premises don't look like much, but direct proximity to Fish Hoek beach and a cheap option for Asian lunch.

A “hole in the wall” with superb Thai food. Basically a “take away” Thai restaurant with a dining room as an afterthought. Don’t let that fool you though. The food is top notch.

Awesome Asian food - Mongolian, Singaporean etc. Really delicious options. Would've been 5 stars but dumplings are shockingly disgusting.
