I have been to plenty restaurant in South africa and around the world, and I was memorized by the breathtaking venue, near perfect food and excellent service. In my 10 day stay in false bay and almost everyday visit to the venue I was always greeted with open arms and 5 star service. One waitress that really stood out for me, with great hospitality and fast acting service was "Mikyla" hoping I spelt it right, she made as mentioned made our visit top star. Great job Mikyla. Thanks for making the last 10days of 2016 memorable. Last but not least. Compliments to the chefs for making me put on a few pounds hey. Will have to definitely hit the gym hard again in 2017. If you are looking for a superb meal, served by experienced and qualified staff, in a stunning setting by the beach, look no further than the Fish Hoek Galley! I have eaten in Restaurants around the world and this place ranks highly.
I understand why this place is so popular. A menue with big variety to choose from. Tasty meals and some dishes unique to Cape Town. And of course, my all time favourite, very nice cappuccino. I understand they are a venue of choice for family and work gatherings and the big screen TV make it the best place to be with sport broad casting.
I have not been here in years...don't know why..
But what amazing service and the Fisherman's platter..oh my goodness..the array of seafood so plentiful!

Lovely views. Service was good. Well turned out staff, friendly and the lady serving us was dressed very neatly, which is a great asset in any restaurant. Nice options for non pork eaters, beef sausage instead of bacon. Coffee ☕ was very good. Lovely outside if the weather is good.
This place was like heaven. The beach view was extraordinarily beautiful and not to mention the lobster dish was excellent as well. More importantly, their service was beyond exquisite. When my dad accidentally spilt pepper on his plate, a manager gently took it then had her staff bring a new one, which was super grateful and touching. We do appreciate it. One more, I've got to say that their salad was seriously so good, which was already already a meal-sized portion. I wish I could take more but couldn't finish all I was served sadly. The moment we were here was literally pleasant and I do wish this place all the best :) Cheers.
Basic family fun food. Good value. Despite a recent upgrade the decor is dated but slap chips, milkshakes, fish and salad are what you're going here for. Good standards with magnificent view and beach.
We only had dessert and coffee, etc. Delicious. Wonderful end to a wonderful day.
I drove to Vishoek and parked my car close to the beach and walked the Jaeger Catwalk. On my way back I stopped in at the Gallery and bought an ice cream cone with mixed vanilla and chocolate icecream with a flakie.....sat on the wall nearby and enjoyed it.
The food was amazing! Thank you for hosting us and feeding us with such delicious delicacies. It was an interesting moment with you.
My meal was wonderful. Tasty and great value for money. Thembi was awesome and helpful and we received excellent service. We can't make any sense of the bad reviews, except that maybe people have reviewed the adjacent light dining cafe. My kingklip with masala and prawn sauce was delicious
Lovely lunch at the Galley. Had the veal schnitzel. Was delish. Service was good, and management was excellent. Very attentive.
