Good morning i am one of the workers at the centre i love this place only if they can organise taxis for us thank you
I LOVE this Shopping Centre ,
So convenient and have EVERYTHING I NEED THERE , Woolies , Checkers , ATM’s ,Dischem etc etc , lovely eating places aswell 👍🏻💕💕💕💕💕
When the chicken with haloumi gyro arrived i had one smell............ -the smell of Greece .Well done to authentic gyros from Yiyias kitchen and the best gyro i have tasted so far, loved the tzatziki in in too .No photos as I finished it before I can even take the photos it was that delicious .
Lots of Kalimera restaurants in the area now but Yia Yias probably has the tastiest, most authentic Greek food. Their patata bravas are awesome but if you want a toe curling experience try their prawns. It's a bit small and not much of a seating area so grab take-aways and chow down at home. Down side is that the owner is a Man-U fan.
Simply, the food at Yia Yia’s Kitchen was out of this world. The menu has select options but all of the authentic favourites and it was delicious!
Yia Yia's was delicious as always. Lamb gyro with extra Haloumi. My absolute favorite! Next best is the calamari gyro. Excellent service too with the new waitress.
Had the lamb burger. Arrived slightly black and meat was pulpy. Burger was overall good. Liked the bread which felt better than a burger bun. Seems like a flat bread.
Went through to buy a beef slouvaki plate and chicken gyro for lunch. The slouvaki was delicious, perfectly cooked and a decent portion size. I was very disappointed with the size of the gyro though - quite small for the price, so much so that it won't count as a full meal on it's own.
Everything is freshly prepared on order, and does take quite a while (3 people ahead of me today, took 35 minutes to get my food) so don't go here if you're in a rush.
Always double check your food before you leave if you make special requests. My gyro was supposed to have halloumi and chips added (which I paid for), but got home to find they didn't add the chips.
Yia Yia's Kitchen one of the few very authentic Greek restaurants in Johannesburg. I had the Calamari as well as the Lamb Gyro, both of which were very well prepared and good on the palette. The portions are somewhat small but its worth the price. These Gyros comes close to those which I had in Athens and Santorini. Overall, I'm glad to have a piece of Greece at home.

I went recently to try out this place as I'm on the Entertainer app. The food is 5*. Try a gyro and baklava cheesecake. The setup is not great - you are in a strip mall overlooking a parking lot. It will be cold to go there evenings in winter. The services was truly excellent and the prices low. The manager however started saying he only accepts the Entertainer for takeouts. This is not acceptable as it is not stated on the app.
I've eaten at this little spot twice in the last few weeks and I have to give it props... Both times I've had a gyro and both times it's been really good. My favourite is a chicken gyro with added halloumi.
At the end of the day, this is a little take-away joint but the quality of food is great AND it's really not expensive. If you're in the mood for a great gyro, make a plan to support these guys!
This place is in a busy strip mall so the atmosphere isn't the best. While dining outside, you will have a car one meter away from you and all the sounds of a parking lot. In spite of all that, I enjoyed my meal! Everything was nice and fresh. While the service was pretty good, it took a little longer than expected for dessert to arrive. It did come hot and fresh. I thought the food was good and I would come back again.
