Went to this place for some grilled hake and snoek with some friends. I must say this is the best grilled fish I have had and very affordable. Stayed on after the fish for some drinks with friends. What a great host the owner is, will definitely visit this place more often!

Absolutely stunning venue. There are views from below the bridge of the river and docks where sea rescue is based.
Their food is as fresh as it gets with them also being a fish market they catch daily. On entering one might have a short waiting period due to Sea rescue operation being prioritized in the dock. However it is certainly worth it.
Staff are friendly and accommodating however don't take reservations which is understandable as they can get quite busy.
I highly recommend this stop on your trip in East London.
I had the fish burger here and it was delicious!! The place was busy with moms and dads watching the regatta but we managed to find a table to eat from. Service was great and the toilets nice and clean. It’s always a pleasure coming to eat here. One point to notice is the parking needs to be upgraded as after the rain it was one slushy mess!!

Their seafood is top notch! The staff are friendly and the service was quick (even though it was over a weekend and there were quite a lot of people)! And of course, the view over the Buffalo River and bridges are great!
The food is very good and fresh. It is a old rustic building that relates to fisherman style, however, I would like to see some basic revamping done to the building - Not much, but a good paint job or basic modernization will go a long way. Never the less, I will return.
What a find ! We intended to buy fresh fish and ended up having a feast. A well coordinated production line of golden calamari strip and crunchy fries and plump portions of fish left a squeeky clean kitchen and as we sat...the place just filled up with guests for lunch. Fresh salad finished off the feast ...and the views are to die for. A deep green river and riverbank and ships scuffling in and out the harbour. What a gem. We left with fresh Yellow tail and hake....to take home to Gauteng. Please carry on with the good food and good vibes...untill we meet again December .

Watch the guys clean and gut your fish, get it grilled or deep fried, grab a bottle of your favorite from the well-stocked bar, secure a spot outside, and ENJOY
Great place for good fish at good prices. Too popular, so they sell out quickly. The staff is helpful and friendly and even prepare your fish the way you want it. There is a restaurant too, looked good, but we didn’t eat there. Beautiful spot on the river to the harbor.
A must visit seafood restaurant in East-London. With views of the yacht club and water it makes for an ideal setting to enjoy the freshly prepared meals. Each dish was prepared to perfection and the owner and staff was ready to assist with any questions. Suggest that reservations are made over weekends to secure your spot for a great dining experience.
An absolutely lovely place to dine at and let your hair down after a very long and hot day. I enjoyed the food as well at the beautiful view.
A gem of a place. Best fish and chips by far. So much better than expected.
