Been here a couple of times for their Korean food and every time doesn’t disappoint 😩🙏🏼 I lived in Korea for 4 years and honestly didn’t want to leave because I’d miss the food so much! I can’t tell you how happy I was when I came back in 2021 to find out that there’s a restaurant that has Korean food just down the road. I tried the steamed 만두 (dumplings) and the 참치김밥 (tuna mayo gimbap) yesterday and my heart was bursting with happiness with every bite. 😭 Their coffee shake is also one of my absolute favourites in Durbanville!
Would highly recommend this place. It’s always so peaceful, friendly staff, they usually have their art gallery open so you can wonder around and look at some art before or after your food. ✨ 11/10. ✨
We loved this place. Very friendly staff. The atmosphere was great. We loved our food. We will return for sure.
Why drive all the way to Town to experience authentic Korean food, when you can drive down the road. This hidden gem is out of this world, the service is great, it's owner managed, so feels extra special. You have to try the KFC (Korean fried chicken) dish!
Absolutely incredible and authentic Korean dining at it's best. The atmosphere and service is incredible and such a hidden gem in the middle of Durbanville. So excited to come back and try all their food.
Also for the whisky lovers they have the largest selection of whiskies I've ever seen. Definitely a MUST visit!
YOCO is under new ownership, and while it was very very good in the past, I’m thrilled to say it’s even better now.
Friendly service, a lovely setting that feels miles away from busy Durbanville, and most importantly, delicious food. The new owner, Jo, has introduced Korean food on the menu, and it’s so, so good. My beef bibimbap was an untraditional presentation of a classic dish, and it really brought the flavour. I’m going to have to come back regularly and eat my way through the Korean part of the menu. YUM!
But it’s not just Korean food. My wife’s shakshuka was also delightful, and there are so many other tempting things on the menu.
We told Jo we are new regulars. It’s that good.
Located in the quiet neighborhood of Dubarnsville close to the police station, Yoco eatery got some of the best peppered chicken and chicken sauce. If you want extra chilly sauce, just ask. Their burgers 🍔 are good and surprisingly come with good prices. If you’re on a date, Yoco is a good place. Spacious and cozy.
I must have driven past this place a 100 times. They are between the main road in the museum gardens. A true hidden gem. Such care and perfection on a plate. Definitely homemade bread, free range eggs. We sat on the old fashioned stoep in the sun soaking up the rays while being spoilt with truely delicious foods, good quality, well presented. Definitely worth a trip back in time to escape the hussle and bussle for a hour. Will be back to try their lunch menu.
One of our favourite local breakfast spots. I enjoy sitting outside underneath the big old trees as well as inside among the artwork the art gallery boasts. A peaceful affair. The food is great and the owner always pops around. Try the hummingbird cake and the burgers! Try everything!
Such a gem! I had the deboned chicken thighs and they were so tasty and tender. They have a very extensive whisky bar too that seemed popular!
was there yesterday for late lunch....love the Korean food!
will always return....and so lovely to sit outside....next week am going to try The Whiskey Library.....amazing selection....Google it.....
