Amazing restaurant, highly recommend the Asian inspired dishes. The sushi was fresh and the ramen bowl was hearty (and good value for money!) Chips and calamari are great too!

Have been to Saltwater Grill on two occasions now and the food and presentation has been absolutely amazing on both occasions. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. Service is fast and waiters are always checking in on you. Made a booking for my fiancés birthday and they really made the evening special. Would highly recommend and keep coming back.

This restaurant is lovely. The atmosphere is a bit cafeteria like but the food was AMAZING. Had the seafood platter for 1, but really, it served two of us. The rice was so delicious, and the sauce that the mussels were in was so good. It was strange that we had three waiters attending to us. I asked who our official waiter was but was told that they worked together and helped each other. I feel like it's not always great to do this. They were mostly friendly and helpful, though. Overall, everything was lovely. The food is definitely the reason for going to this restaurant.

Everything was fantastical! Lunch was awesome . Food was top-notch, and so was the atmosphere and service. Thanks to the waitress Virginia for the great service from the beginning to the end. Deserts were just the touch needed to end off our magical lunch. The vibe was ambient and cozy, and the prawns were to die for. Will definitely come back for more

We had a wonderful time, from the moment we got there to the time we left. Our service professional, Patou, was very patient and helpful and the food was excellent. Our starter hand rolls were some of the best we've had. The fried potato ring in the salad was amazing in both taste and presentation, the calamari was tender and the braised pork belly kakuni was an eye opener. I'd highly recommend a visit, but do be sure to book in advance as it's a very popular place that fills up quickly.

My first time at saltwater grill. Cozy setting with minimalistic decor. Great service and good food. I opted for the pork ramen. Although not really authentic ramen, it was deliciously rich and packed with flavour. The egg was poached im soy and was delicious. A massive portion of tender and juicy pork and fresh noodles to match. Overall a great dish for a Winter's evening. For starters we shared the sushi which was unbelievably fresh and well made. Probably my favourite of the evening. The fish and chips looked delicious and everyone at the table was happy. Overall a good restaurant.

Been meaning to come here for a while and all I can say is it was well worth the wait. Staff is super attentive, food was excellently presented and delicious, atmosphere was lovely and menu offers a massive variety of tantalizing seafood options. Will definitely be coming back to try their poke bowls! Well done on a fabulous place Dylan.

Made a visit for the great looking prawns and was not disappointed. Vincent was a great waiter and did not miss a beat. The beautiful presentation of the food showed that the people in the kitchen really cares. Will definitely be back.

Saltwater Grill never disappoints. Their food is always great quality, fresh and flavorful. They also have lovely margaritas. Their seafood platter for 2 is also great value. I'd love if they made some more gluten free dessert options, but other than that, great experience.

Had a great night at Saltwater Grill for my birthday. Sushi was top class and the mains were also very good. We went during loadshedding (by coincidence) so service was a bit slower and some of the items on the menu could not be made due to working on the generator but we still had a very nice evening with friendly service that went the extra mile for my birthday surprise dessert. Keen to go back for some of the more exotic items on the menu.

I enjoyed the Oysters with Tosazu Dressing. What a treat! I highly recommend this place for oysters, specifically in the Durbanville area.

It was our first time visiting. We didn't make a booking as we thought that it would be easy to get a table, we did but was told to make a booking in future. The venue is lovely, the service friendly and the food was great. Don't make a mistake with your order though as management refused to take it back. The prices are very reasonable and the decor is pleasant.

This is an amazing little gem. I have never tasted such delicious food in ages. Fresh and colorful and just delicious!!! My new favourite restaurant

The very best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Plus the food was really hot. The service was friendly and excellent. So many dishes to choose from and different, interesting sweets to choose from. These were also delicious. Highly recommended.

What a gem in Durbanville. Its so important that a restuarant is run by a owner manager, and even cook the food himself. Well done. We had an great evening at Saltwater grill with our 15 wedding anaversury. Beeing a restuarant owner myself, I was blown away with great service and amazing food. Keep it up!!

By far the best sushi we have ever had. Lovely service, great atmosphere. The luxury platter for two is HUGE! I absolutely recommend this restaurant to everyone for any occasion. Very very happy

Tom and I visited Saltwater Grill for.the first time despite many varied reports on FB! Our waitron Emmy was very helpful and friendly. She explained the specials to us and the giant prawns were on special. We ordered a seafood platter and requested that they replace the smaller prawns with the giant prawns. We offered to pay extra. The owner Dylan came to our table to advise the extra cost. Service was great and so was our food. We ended off with two coffees. We will certainly be back!

From the start the friendly knowledgeable waitress gave us a sense of good things to come. We were not disappointed. I had the seafood platter which has almost every fish item on the menu. The dish arrived timeously and very well presented. Every bit of seafood was perfectly cooked and butter soft. Chips are chips and rice is rice but even they could not be faulted in the slightest. All in all a perfect evening and a perfect meal with the owner/manager Dylan the perfect attentive host.

Tucked away in Pinelands is this very special restaurant. Not only is the food delicious, the service is equally exceptional. Here's a quick round up on my taste experience: The sesame crusted tuna ceviche starter was the best I've ever had, followed by mussels in THE most amazing sauce, mains was the grilled calamari and hake combo (as I couldn't make up my mind between calamari or fish) with a garden salad and stir fried veg while my husband had the prawn combo with chips (equally as good). There were 4 of us that went (we travelled from the northern suburbs and my sister and her boyfriend from Tamboerskloof) we all agree that even though we don't live in Pinelands it's totally worth the drive and we look forward to coming back for another great evening out. Thanks to Dylan the owner and all those working there for making our evening extra special. We left with smiles on our faces and very full stomachs. This is what a good seafood experience is all about.

Loved this place as a local restaurant the food was excellent the chef regularly came out to check on us and over the 8 week period we were based here on a project the staff always recognized us and made us welcome. Highly recommend 😬

Our favourite restaurant, just love their seafood stew, their calamari oh just everything on the menu is delicious. Excellent service and ambiance.

Service was very rushed. Was asked if we were ready to order every 5 seconds - had hardly sat down and opened our menus when it started. Once we received our food that was when service ended. Starters were amazing bit the mains were disappointing. Bad mussel on the Seafood Platter. Fish was a bit under cooked , rice was under cooked and chips were cold.

Excellent mussel starter in sublime not too rich sauce, shared salad by 2 ladies as rheir starter followed by a main calamari and veg and my starter calamari in a gorgeous blue china bowl ad my main. Other mains were sole, fried fish and chips, and paella made to order without clams and mussels which i had a taste of, yummy! My next meal there! Excellent service by a knowledgeable waiter, lives up to its reputation without fault! Well done to all. Our waiter Alfred was never seen without a smile. And then there was the food, well i dont need to say much. The fact that everyone was taking photos of their food says it all. Friendly staff, Kingklip grilled to perfection. My sauté veggies to die for. My husbands chips were spot on. The presentation exceptional. Staff very efficient. Will be back for sure.

Have been wanting to eat here for quite sometime as it's in my hood.Had a delicious seafood platter yesterday and the atmosphere and service were friendly.Definately will be back.

The fish was tender and beautifully cooked... I expected the standard veggies but was presented with a medley of veggies stir fried to perfection... Not soggy and not totally raw... When I am back in Cape Town I will be back here...

The food was excellent. The manager lied all the way through. Food came 45 mins later than he said. Told us it would be out in 5 minutes. 45 mins later it came. Salads came when everything was finished. Was never offered coffee. Charged for 3 extra cold drinks. Manger was a disaster. Pity as could have been one of our favorite restaurants. Was told owner is in Malta. Hope he reads this and does something about it.

Saltwater Grill is the hub of the town for delicious seafood options and wonderful salads. The presentation is always elaborate and wonderful on the eye and the staff (both waiters and kitchen staff) work incredibly hard to bring smiles to the faces of customers. The panna cotta is the best desert on the menu! Absolutely love this place.

SERIOUSLY!!??......For a seafood restaurant, it left much to be desired. I had better tasting food from our local fish & chip takeaway.<br/>3 attempts over a period of year, and 3 bad experiences.<br/>Lets start with the good point.<br/>The manager was very helpful and friendly and the olive oil was good. Thats it.<br/>Now, where shall we begin......<br/>Surely the aroma of the food adds to the experience and enhances the tastebuds; but when the waiters smell like a cheap perfume factory and their scent not only overpowers the aroma of the food, but is nauseating to say the least.<br/>Service was shocking and we had to keep asking other waiters to remind our waiter what he had forgotten to bring to the table.<br/>The Greek salad was far from Greek; the chips and fish were drowning in oil, the prawn special was tasteless, and the prawns were watery and the flesh was difficult to pry away from the shell. It was easier just to eat the prawn with the shell intact.<br/>The peri peri sauce which we waited for too for ages, was sludge.<br/>Then onto desert....the malva apparently was ok, the cheesecake was little short of how I would imagine plastic would taste. Coffee was ok.<br/>3 attemps, 3 strikes, would NOT recommend it and certainly will not waste money there again.<br/>Gio
