Carla and myself had a lunch there on 21 Dec. It was fantastic service from our waitress and her assistant. The food was well presented and great tasting. Very few people can impress me with well done steak, but your chef certainly did. It was perfectly prepared. I cannot fault the venue, service or food, however, we did wait quite a while for our meals. Overall I am more than impressed and would highly recommend Diemesdal Eatery to anyone. Well done!
We had a wonderful Valentine's dinner at Diemersdal. Truly one of the best meals I have ever experienced. What a treat!
What a nice experience at Diemersdal. We had a very affordable set menu of 3x courses for R275 where we had a sous vide duck starter, a harvest table of beef terrine, chicken, salad and a few vegetable dishes and ended of with a beautiful white chocolate mouse with rubarb and strawberries. The food is fresh and delicious.
Its such a wonderful wine farm to visit. They have exceptional wines and great finger foods. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Its a really nice place to visit this summer
We had pork belly. Very tasteful and colourful and beautiful presented. Definately on a good and high standard. Nice atmosphere and good service. Only suggestion is that price of this meal is in comparison very high. We suggest another piece of pork on the plate. Diemersdal wines are easy and price is good.
Fantastic dining to follow a wine tasting of truly spectacular wines.
Great environment, with friendly and efficient staff. Simple but elegant, the look and feel, the music the lighting... everything makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The food is delicious, well prepared utilising current and seasonal ingredients.
A wonderful experience.

I am pretty much a regular at Diemersdal because we know we won't go wrong and can always expect excellent food and service. I've tried a lot of items on their menu and have my favourites but TODAY I had the most sublime dessert. Possibly the best dessert I've ever had. I can't give the accurate description because it is not showing on their online menu but it's basically the Peanut Butter Souffle. Sounds possibly plain, sweet, simple. It is unbelievable and couldn't get enough.
This is such a gem! Sitting out on the lawns looking at the rolling hills of the Durbanville wine route, it really is a great setting to enjoy quality food. Their menu is limited and sticks to some classy meals, not the cheapest but so worth it! He seafood tagliatelle was incredible! My boyfriend has the steak with the best bearnaise sauce I ha e ever tasted! And other dishes around the table looked like works of art too.
The complimentary bread board and beef butter was so different and tasty.
So for a weekend treat, it's a winner.
Delicious menu - every time a surprise! Had the black mussel risotto (quite fishy), salt and pepper squid with lime dressing (amazing flavours), duck breast (any kind of beetroot imaginable), pappardelle with steamed langoustine, fish, scallop (great flavours and textures - well cooked).
Love Diemersdal's Rosé - great for a sunny lunch on the lawn.
From another visit - I can recommend the mussel linguine starter and pan fried kabeljou.
We had cappuccinos, the calamari and the mussel pasta. The food was delicious and really tasty. The bread starter was very interesting and not at all expected. The waiters were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was great. It was the perfect winter's lunch! And the meringues that came with the bill were great!
This a near excellent eatery. Food is great service is outstanding. The only thing I might fault them could be the price... R730 for two people might be a bit steep!? Otherwise great... and so where the wine.
Was there last sundae for a set menu.Staff was very nice and friendly and the atmosphere is peacefull.the Food was very tasty and the portions was just enough and went well with there awesome ranges of wines.
