Review 1000 Hills Chef School Restaurant - Durban

We had a great time celebrating my husband's birthday 🌸. Great pizza, loved my gin and my Husband had n great experience with the different beers. The presentation was great, i would just suggest they add more gin options there was only 2 options 🌸 I just do wish they do something extra because it is your birthday like most restaurants do, do especially because we drove more than a hour and a half to get here and booked ahead for this occasion yet nothing special was done...

Had lunch and sampled some of the craft beers here over the weekend. Tucked away off the Old Main Road this is a little gem. The staff are all students and very helpful and knowledgeable about the food. There is a craft beer company on the premises too. We had a sample of different beers, shared a pizza and enjoyed a bottle of wine. All in all a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Definitely will be back. PS. Great view from the toilets too.

Lovely Mother's Day lunch with the Old Car Club. Service was a bit slow but it was busy. Our food was excellent.

Incredible views and outdoor atmosphere. The food is exemplary. We specifically loved the fact that the restaurant and beer tasting is part of an initiative to teach the 1st and 2nd year chefs how to serve and engage with guests.

Wow wow wow! This place was a culinary experience like no other. From their fresh food bursting with divine flavours to the views and the service, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food was so good we came back to enjoy it two days in a row. Thank you to the owner Desiree for her kindness and Chef Lindelwa, Chef Sizwe and Chef Martin for the warm welcome and excellent food! If you're in the area, you absolutely have to visit 1000 Hills Chef School. You will not regret it.

Delicious food in a beautiful setting - best desserts I have had in ages! Only reason no 5 stars is that the wait service is done by trainee chefs, so can be a bit haphazard. But it’s friendly and welcoming, so imagine your favorite cook trying to wait tables. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the food is great value and lip smackingly good!

@1000hillschefschool is situated in Botha’s Hill overlooking the magnificent 1000 Hills Valley. Their fine dining restaurant and bistro-style deli are the practical training ground for their students. Here they practise serving and preparing both food and beverages for paying guests while still enjoying the safety of a school environment. They explore trends and focus on seasonal ingredients, with input to their menus that are revised each term. @1000hillsbrewery

Awesome food and environment, owner was very cool and hospitable and the chefs are very talented. I was also surprised to see that the restraint is pet friendly, was good to see some well manoured pets roaming around and enjoying a snack too. A special thanks to the Owner and the fellow customers for allowing us to get some drone shots!

Spent a lovely afternoon today under the tree on the deck with the family and kids. Seth's service was excellent, the food was excellent especially the pork belly and platters and the guys really enjoyed trying all the craft beer. Will be back very soon

Great service. Absolutely delicious food. And having the brewery on-site means fantastic craft beers too.

Had a wonderful experience here. The views are beautiful, the pizza was delicious and the drinks were amazing. We had a few unwelcome guests in the monkeys who just had to try our pizza, but the staff were very accommodating in helping us out. Craft beer tasting is also great.

One of my favourite places. The apprentice waiters and chefs have been taught so well right from the start. Some understandably still new and nervous, but ever so nice. The food and the country feel venue is tops. I just love this place
