Decided on Dukkah for a birthday lunch, and it was indeed the best choice. We went on a weekday, so it was relatively quiet but the ambience paired with the service and the excellent food was a 10/10. I was rather disappointed that they were out of rose essence for my choice of cocktail, though that was easily remedied with an alternate choice. While I’ve mentioned the food and ambience, it was the service that stood out to me most - our waiter Calvin(if I’m not mistaken) paid utmost attention to detail and ensured that our entire Dukkah experience, and my birthday lunch, was perfectly executed. Will definitely be back.
Dukkah is definitely my favourite place to dine at.
I love solo dates and this is the perfect spot. You get to enjoy your meal and own company at the same time, that’s a win for me.
The aesthetics, cozy and appealing to the eye. Makes you feel at home and never want to leave.
We arrived as the restaurant opened, our server made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. No offers of menus or drinks. We were pretty much ignored.
When we ordered, she did make an amazing suggestion.
THE FOOD, oh my goodness, perfection, and beautifully presented. The restaurant is beautiful, and I feel that with a different server, the experience would have been top knotch.
The food, the atmosphere, the patrons, and the service at this place is impeccable! This pasta is by far one the tastiest I have ever eaten. For an upmarket place, the prices are pretty reasonable as well. Love the ambience and the vibe in here. They okay good music too. An all round winner!
One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. This place has to be one of the gems of Durban. Every meal we had from starters to dessert was absolutely delicious. Every element on the plate, perfectly seasoned and treated with flavours that complimented the dishes so well. The service we received was steady, efficient and timely. The waiter made us feel welcome and was so very friendly all throughout. This place served up one of the best fillets I've ever eaten, perfect temperature/doneness, perfect seasoning and quality of meat, even the minor elements on the plate were treated with care and flavour! We will most certainly be back! Cannot recommend this place enough.
Lovely ambience with fantastic service I recommend the restaurant to everyone.
Though we had to wait more than 30 minutes to receive our meals however the food was delicious.

Wow!! This place is amazing!! I love the overall look of the restaurant, the lighting, the ambiance, the beautiful decor and the most delicious food of course. We had the pleasure of dining here to celebrate a milestone birthday. Our waiter Ngcobo was awesome and he tended to us perfectly! The food was fine dining at its best and each dish was beautifully plated, cooked to perfection and just yummy yummy yummy!! I am a self made foodie person so I appreciated the attention to detail in every dish! The desserts were just as delicious and I am so glad to have dined here as it made my loved ones day even more special. If I lived closer, I would try every dish on the menu but alas I will have to wait till I’m in the area again hopefully sooner than later to eat these delicious dishes! If I didn’t already express my love for this place then let me squeal again… I LOVE DUKKAH and it just so happens to be my favorite spice blend so I was super stoked!! Overall, worth the prices and it is a perfect place for special occasions, date night, to impress friends & family as well because you will thoroughly enjoy your meals as we did!!

I feel like the Dukkah half chicken wasn't really half, it was smaller than that. It was indeed delicious, but seemed like a quarter chicken as compared to half, for someone who takes value for money seriously they'd complain.
The rest was super amazing, the place is beautiful, friendly and professional staff!

Absolutely fabulous food, drinks and service! Had a wonderful, relaxed and delicious meal at Dukkah. It was difficult to decide as the menu is intriguing! I settled on the pork-belly with pureed cauliflower, mashed potatoes and assorted veggies and everything was fresh, delicious and well-balanced. My waitress could not have been sweeter or more helpful. Treat yourself to a fabulous meal, with good music and atmosphere.
