Vacationed with family here for 3 nights and it was a beautiful experience with an amazing beach view. All hotel staff was friendly and helpful to any of our needs. There is so much to do with the hotel being situated a step away from the beach and local restaurants. Also visited LaVita Spa in the hotel and was spoilt with relaxing spa treatments by amiable ladies.

Great experience I had at the Palace. The staff is friendly and professional. Everyone has a smile especially the ladies at reception 😀 The food was great and fresh. Thanks to the gentleman who took pictures of me at the photo booth at the reception (Forgot his name but he is French speaking). I really love the Palace ❤️🙏🏽❤️

Stayed at the apartments,have everything u need microwave fridge etc ,the view is my 5* the beach is ideal to swim which 1min walk from your hotel door, beach has life guards with no backwash so it's safe to swim, halal food is a min walk and Uber delivers to the door, it's not your 5* hotel but for the views n listening to waves ia a I go to sleep is what I love value for money

Spent the weekend 8-11 september with my inlaws(mr sanford) at the palace in the penthouse room on the 22nd floor, the views are 360 degrees and the top bedroom 23rd floor is amazing! With the jacuzzi bath, the balcony is almost 360 degree views of the waterfront,harbour and durban cbd, the location is excellent, with the newly upgraded rachel finlayson main pool on the waterfront just across the road, is really great! As the palace pool is more a splash pool to cool off.The staff were all friendly and rooms where all perfect!

I had the pleasure of staying here, unfortunatley only for one night. It was my first time visiting durban and the service at The Palace has set a very high bar of expectation for all future hotel stays! Every single employee, from housekeeping,security gaurds,reception staff and the ladies working at pesto, was extremeley friendly,helpful and kind! The reason for my durban trip was extremeley stressful, but each and every eployee made me feel welcome and at home and for that i cannot thank you enough! I will forever refer everyone looking for a hotel in durban to stay there, and if ever i travel there again,it will be my only choice! I thought the view was my faveroute part! But the staff and service topped it!thank you so much

The location is to die for and the views spectacular. The service is great. The only problem was the bathroom that had a leak and gave off a bad odour. The cleaner indicated it was the drain and she normally pours a chemical in it but she was on leave and this was not done by her replacement.

The location is perfect. It's right on the marine parade in Durban. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The rooms are very comfortable and there was everything that is needed for a self catering stay.
The only reason for the four stars instead of five stars is because of the noisy people that can be heard on the beachfront. Even though this is no fault of the Palace, it is quite disruptive.

Hotel is good. Furniture needs some updating especially the TvS. Atleast a 42 inch or 50 inch would b good in the living room. Showers r tiny for a big guy like myself but praise God we had the tub so I managed....
