Review Hingham Nursery - Durban

I absolutely love to chill at this awesome Nursery. They have an awesome selection of everything that is needed for Gardening and they are centrally located in the Durban North Area. The coffee shop and garden feel is so relaxing.

Lost for words is an understatement.Arriving in the car park you are met by a friendly car guard and the entrance to a nursery wonderland.For gardener's and plant lover's your head just keeps on spinning and taking in every inch of ground that is filled to capacity with an array of beautiful plant's and pots of all shapes and sizes.The gift shop is filled with all sorts of knick naxs and lot's of interesting item's which catch your eye.Time must not be the deciding factor when you visit there cause it passes you by and you still will find stuff to discover.i'm sure by now you are feeling hungry and a fantastic little cafe awaits you and your appetite.All dishes on the menu will leave you full and very satisfied.The menu is very reasonably priced and you have a nice breakfast and lunch selection to choose from.The staff are very friendly and the lady running it is a absolute joy to chat with and makes you feel at home and part of the family.I found the ambience and the beauty of this green world so peaceful that you are just drawn into it and you become one with nature.

Reasornable prices!! Top care given to their plentiful variety of plants on display, unlike most places. Informative assistance given directly at the garden. The staff was friendly and they had the best mushroom sauce on their burgers. Visiting the nursery I would advice you give the first visit an hour atleast.

This place is always amazing. It's quiet and the food is great value for money. Not really a place for small children but there is enough to keep them entertained. Mainly the plants. The staff are also pleasant and the eating area is shaded and cool.

Great variety of plants at a good price! Good and friendly service. My son will always remember the Blueberry-Blackberry joke…

Best nursery I've been to in a long time, wide selection of plants & flowers, friendly staff that know their stuff, very nice little restaurant with generous portions. Will definitely return.

I loved the spectacular gardens. There is everything a gardiner could want. I bought 2 indigenous Amarilylis plants. Very knowledgeable staff.

The farmhouse breakfast at Hingham is the best in town. Definitely worth a visit just for the food, but be careful because you’ll end up leaving with a boot full of plants!!

A well established nursery and a recently expanded tea garden in the Durban North area. Helpful and friendly staff. Knowledgeable staff are on hand to offer sound horticultural advice. As an avid gardener, this is one of my favourite places to shop for everything horticultural and more.

Good customer service. Also opened on Sundays till 4pm which is very convenient.

Lovely place to get all your gardening stuff from A to Z .They have a little tea garden where you can enjoy some snacks and drinks. They have a wide range of flowers and plenty of plants to choose from. It is my favorite place to visit. But just word of advice. Just make sure you are not over charged. It has happened to me a few times and I did bring it to attention of the person who owns the nursery. I will still advice you to visit. The staff there are ever willing to assist. They are the best when choosing your plants 🪴. And they will take it to your car and pack them all neatly.

Friendly, helpful staff. Got exactly what we were looking for in adding to our indigenous plant collection. Flowers are just so beautiful and so many different kinds, wish I could buy them all. Was a bit disappointed.... the coffee shop is closed on Mondays. But overall, love the nursery!

A good plant range for your garden to house plants. The smells coming from the cafe make your tummy rumble.
