This place has consistently good quality food and service. I can especially recommend the battered pork medallions. Unfortunately they lost their sit down restaurant after COVID which I really miss. The atmosphere was very quaint and charming and the sit down service was exceptional.

The real deal
Maan Hing has been a staple since I moved to Glenwood 10 years ago. The food is consistently good, the spring rolls are delicious and the portions are nice and big.
Its nothing fancy! But when you leave the office late and need a good dinner this is the spot.
Best Chinese takeaway 😋. Have been going to Maan Hing since I was a little girl. It was a family tradition to celebrate our birthdays at Maan Hing until they closed the rmsit down option last year. But all is well as their food has not changed. Delicious food at reasonable rates. Service and friend
portion was huuuge, I had my next three meals sorted. Over the years the quality and quantity remains the same, I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein, wonderful dish. The lady was very polite and sweet, I'll be happy to order from here again.
Service is always friendly, fast and more than generous helping wise. Pity business has slowed down to the extent that the store had to downsize and the restaurant does not operate anymore. Used to enjoy using the restaurant when it was still operating.
Absolutely LOVE Maan Hing. Prices are affordable and portions are huge. We always get the chicken cashew nut dish as there are always actually cashew nuts in it (unlike some other restaurants!). Miss sitting down at the restaurant, but it's understandable given the time we are living in. Also enjoy
I'm a new customer. Found Maan Hing accidentally after I placed a Mr. D order with another Chinese Restaurant and they didn't pick up my order and I'm so glad I did. Absolutely love your food. Best Chinese Food in Durban... their BBQ Pork spring rolls are delicious... cannot NOT buy one when ordering their Beef Chow Mein. Just one portion of the Chow Mein feeds me and my wife ;) and, and their sweet n sour sauce is yum yum. My rating remains

I have been going to Maan Hing for 20yrs or so. The restaurant in all that time has never served me a bad meal. The takeaways are as good.
Staff are friendly and the prices are still reasonable.

This is one of Durban's longstanding favourite Chinese restaurant's. It caters for both in-house dining and takeaways with a variety of excellent yummy and inexpensive meal options. Ease of access and parking available on site. A must visit
I always come here for some good comfort food. Old school atmosphere and Chinese paper lanterns make for a chilled out eating experience. The lunch and dinner set menus are so reasonably priced for the variety of courses.
The best cashew chicken is made here. Always a good choice for us. We call ahead and collect, this makes for a good time to be had by all. No time stress or pressure - if you do have to queue (as occasionally happens) it is well worth it.
A little gem.. flavourful food. Great service. Must try dishes.
Loved their chicken soup. Set menus well with it. Tip: crumble the 'bowtie' into the vanella ice-cream. They open for lunch from 11am till 2pm and then close the restaurant, and reopen for supper. Take aways are allowed when then close.
