I arrived for a late lunch on a Saturday, and went off piste and asked for something they didn’t have on their menu, a seafood pizza. In no time they came back offering the pizza which included large prawns and clams. It was a total winner and the best I’ve had in Durban. Often hard to get a table, I suggest you book if you don’t want to be disappointed.
This was really fantastic! Lovely food and a great find. We had amazing coffee and delicious pasta.
It was lovely to see a restaurant like this in Durban.
Great food & service and beautiful cafe situated in the harbour/waterfront area. The only downside was the aircon which was too cold but other than that I enjoyed it.
Behind the parking lot of uShaka Marine World there exists a hidden treasure: a cool coffee kitchen in a beautifully renovated architectural gem. Ciao Bella is a modern relaxed Café in an industrial-urban setting of the up-and-coming southern Durban area neighbouring the harbour. The surrounding buildings boast beautiful early twentieth century architecture with accentuated character in their dilapidated state. Very impressive street art can be seen on the wall around the side of the café. The menu looked enticing but we were only stopping by for a morning coffee (cappuccino and flat white). The establishment serves Illy Coffee.
Quality coffee and food close to Ushaka.fresh and tasty.weekends are full of funky people that loves the freshly baked goods.
Pop in when in the area.
Delicious food, biscuits are amazingly fresh and delicious... Nice place on a cozy corner, almost hidden. This place is a must be if you are around UShaka marine world.
What a charming place. Went there on a rainy day after a hectic morning. Quite busy after 12, literally got the last table. Still got the best service from my waitress Gugu. Definitely popping by again
Nice and quite place where you can eat and talk listening background Italian music. I shared a pizza fiordilatte and a ciabatta with aubergine prosciutto di parma and mozzarella fiordilatte. Ciabatta bread wasn't not good it looked like no fresh but the pizza was good, thin , crispy and mozzarella fiordilatte was fresh. Milkshake coffee and coffee espresso were very good. I will back at 100% because I would like to taste their pasta.
Hidden gem of a spot that has a lovely wide menu for all palettes and pockets! Fresh juices which are so delicious and staff that are attentive and friendly. It is a good spot for a business meeting as well.
The service was on top the friendly staff and I had a peace of mind
A quaint little Italian trattoria, nestled in the heart of the city at the bottom end of Point Road Durban, seating inside and outside. We opted for outside and loved watching life go by
Breakfast was fantastic, The Frittata and French Toast was delicious 😋
Small easy menu, lunch menu made our mouths water. Will definitely be back for lunch date.
A quiet get-away from the bustle of the city. This Italian café boasts all of the great flavours of Italy with its own unique charm. Run by a passionate staff I have always had great service!
Always an awesome chilled vibe at Ciao Bella and this time was no different.
Having just run the inaugural Ushaka Race it was a no brainer on where to go for our post race cappuccino.
Illy cappuccinos were as good as always, followed by a very good Eggs St. Benedicto - 2 soft poached eggs with bacon on soft english muffins served with a bechamel sauce ... and not the traditional hollandaise sauce ... so don't be put off by the colour of the sauce in the pics.
They also have a build your own breakfast. We had delicious home made italian bread with strawberry jam and rounded off a lovely breakfast with another round of perfectly made cappuccinos.
In the restaurant trade where staff come and go it was lovely to see Gugu still here.
Highly recommended.
