This restaurant offers good value for money, the service is great, and plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, sadly no egg free options for dessert
Lovely restaurant tucked away in Westville junction.
Friendly staff and service was amazing.
Tried their burgers it was awesome.
Will definitely be back again.
Thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. The food was excellent, friendly staff provided good service albeit a bit slow after the initial encounter...
Good food and decent portions. Polite staff and an attentive manager. However the food took about 35 to 40 minutes to arrive when the restaurant was not very busy. We opted for veg; arabiata pasta and a vegetarian pizza. The pizza was oven baked but still cooked well and the pasta was good enough.
Went with my friends from work for a birthday lunch. Most of them had the calamari lunch special, my other friend had the rump medium to well And I had the 8 queen prawns. I felt the prawns should have been cooked in the sauce. I had it with a spicy mayo sauce. It needed to be soaked in for the flavour. Food Is slightly expensive. And waiter was bit everywhere. May go back but not for a while.
Their food is very nice and the staff are very friendly. It’s a Nice setting. And the food portions are nice too. It’s a nice clean lovely place
Great little spot and layout combining the best of both worlds...gives you a classic durban chilled cafe feel if seated on the outside terrace and a more intimate dinner experience when seated inside. Service is excellent, with out over exaggerating an easy 10 out of 10 for service which is a rarity today. Our waiter was pleasant, witty and ever willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had the best experience possible. Meals were prepared surprisingly quickly and tasted fresh. I was seduced by the description of the Chicken Thermador on the menu, expectations were already high. The dish comes drenched in a conventional garlic sauce meant to compliment the prawns, but they were accommodating enough to allow me to change it for their Chilli Whiskey sauce instead. The result was amazing, the chicken and prawns were cooked perfectly and well complimented with cheddar, mozzarella and the chilli whiskey sauce. The chicken, prawns, cheeses and sauce came together magnificently resulting in an amazingly tasteful dish, I was however dissapointed by the size of portion. So the reason for the 3.5 rating...Firstly the size of their portions is a bit embarrassing based on their prices. Secondly, the other dish orderd was the Moroccan Veg stack with chicken was extremely dissapointing. "Layers of roasted vegetables" translated into a few bland pieces of Eggplant, Butternut and sweet potato accompanied by what looked like half a regular chicken breast. For dessert i was served a very generous portion of chocolate brownie. The taste was up to par however i found the centre to be a bit dry, missing that usual melt in your mouth goodness. So again a bit dissapointing. For the amazing service, ambience and fantastic flavour supplied by the chicken Thermador a 3.5 rating for me. Only held down by the small portion sizes, lacking vegetables and a chocolate brownie that just fell short.
Came in for a quick dinner while on business in Durban. The service was great and the food delicious. Will definitely come back when next in town.
A new favourite of mine. Great ambience, friendly staff, the food is delicious, and the coffee is good! The food did take some time to arrive, though. So I would not recommend going here if you're in a rush. But it was well worth the wait, plus I was fortunate enough to be in good company. Thank you, Chez Nous! I'll definitely be back!
Has to got to be one of the best restaurants in Durban.
The staff are so unbelievably friendly and the one man even remembers our drinks order every time we go.
The best Cheesy Prawns (Louisiana Prawn Starter) I've ever tasted. And the Chilli Whiskey sauce on Steak is out of this world!
Definitely my go to restaurant for any occasion.
