I was there last night 25/12 with my two kids and hubby..Very friendly staff from the entrance counter to the lounge area where we first seated for our snacks...we were then moved to the dining area where we were greeted by the friendly waiters which then showed us our table which was nicely decorated.We felt very special while we were there dining.I promised myself that no more home cooking for christmas since we finally found a place we can call home...

Recently went here with a friend for brunch. It’s a beautiful and cosy restaurant. The service was really good. I ended up not really having a meal though. I ordered the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers and I tried the ‘ten and raspberry’ and ‘the heart’ cocktails which were really tasty and potent. Will be back to try out other meals.
Very warm and cozy ambience, the staff is always welcoming and friendly they also offer the best wine in Durban 👌so if your a wine lover it’s a good place to check out.

I always enjoy coming here. Had the cheese board & my friend had the Big Easy burger. Both were yummy! Ambience is also so pleasant ...service too. Go to place in Durban.
Great decor at the Big Easy, the staff have a warm feeling and very friendly atmosphere. I started with the cherry tomato bruschetta with red onion, parmesan oil, fresh basil, parmesan shaving, goats cheese basil rolls. The bruschetta was nice and crispy in the outside and soft in the middle. The cherry tomatoes were very sweet and was the star of the entrée. Personally I did not enjoy the fresh basil as it became over powering especially when biting into the goat cheese basil rolls.
For main course I ordered the baked line fish, which came with creamy mussel, lime and fresh coriander sauce, west coast smoked snoek and onion rice. The line fish available on the day kingklip, which was over cooked . The sauce was the best part of the dish, no drop was left after the meal
I can say depending on the night the restaurant can take your breath away or be an okay experience definitely a good idea, just needing to be polished up a little bit.

It's always convenient dinning here while staying at the Hilton hotel. I had the Norwegian salmon which was seared to perfection. For dessert I had the apple crumble which was terrible, the sorbet it was served with was not too bad though. The restaurant has a relaxed vibe, the service was great. Mostly love it for the convenience.
It would be very unfair and ungrateful of me not publicly acknowledging a wonderful service level experience, and complementing the Big Easy team for a job excellently done. I'm a firm believer that compliment must be give where it's due. I was made to feel home away from home by the most friendly reception, leading me to a highly professional and helpful watron, who served me with the most delicious meal prepared by the most passionate chef "Janine Fourie" who possess a wealth of international experience in culinary arts undoubtedly. Big ups chef, big ups Big Easy.
Expensive but I can't fault them for a thing. Every part of our meal was delicious. I loved the pap and tomato. And the warm berry pudding with white chocolate was incredible!
