We visited twice during our holiday and absolutely loved it. Great food, wonderful service from ( tumi ) and a truly enjoyable atmosphere. Would highly recommend this restaurant

Made a last minute reservation for two on Friday night. The restaurant is charming and cozy, and the service is spectacular. Sean, our waiter for the evening, was excellent and we were very impressed! Enjoyed a lovely bottle of 95’ Prosecco, the beef carpaccio is out of this world, and can definitely recommend the pollo funghi. Compliments to the chef, staff and team for a wonderful evening.

Excellent dining experience. Great, legit Italian food and wine. I had a pizza, which was excellent. My girl had a pasta, which was excellent. Awesome desserts! Pricing for the pizza was unexpectedly good. The pasta price was definitely within reason. Overall, great experience.

Just when I thought I had great italian cuisine, I come across 95 at Park. The house lie restaurant, already you gives you a warm welcome. With some questionable decor decisions, this place still has some beautiful moments but let's be honest, this restaurant is about authentic Italian cuisine. Absolutely one of my best Italian experiences by far. Highly recommend it you won't be disappointed.

We dined here at lunchtime on a Sunday. Only 3 tables were occupied. As a result, there was little atmosphere. Nice room though. Nice menu too. Great service We ordered Carpaccio (very good R120), slow roasted lamb ravioli (good R120), line fish which was Cob with a side of charred broccoli (good dish but the fish could have been fresher R220), calves liver (good but too strong a flavour of balsamic R195). We shared a chocolate fondant for dessert (best dish of the day R115 plus R30 for a scoop of ice cream). We drank a Kloof Street Chenin, excellent wine at a fair price R240) A glass of Prosecco was R70. Would I return? Probably not, there are better Italians closer to home. Parking available on the premise.

Wonderful food in a cosy environment. Well trained and friendly staff. I would highly recommend if you would like a well prepared quality meal with fresh Italian ingredients.

Awesome service from the staff. My daughter's matric send off was magical. All the guest raved about the Pizza's.

On route to take a few visitors from the Netherlands to the airport, they wanted to enjoy a good meal before leaving CT. I chose 95 @ Parks because it was on the way, but oh my goodness, my guests were blown away by the service and more so the meal. In their words, "This was the best meal ever, the best cuts of steak and colked to perfection. They've never had anything this good. The wine that was recommended by the waiter was again one of the best choices. My intention was to allow them to leave with the best meal experience, and my goodness, I didn't think it would be this easy. I'll recommend "95 at Parks" or 95 Keerom, Carnè Kloof, or any of Giorgio Nava's restaurants any day of the week.

Good was very good and tasty, throughly enjoyed their chicken and mushroom meal. We also had a pizza,.which was done perfectly We arrived last minute on mothers day and they managed to get a seat for us but when we ordered they forgot to bring the drinks and the food arrived we had to remind them about the drinks. We. Will definitely go back

Besides the absolutely fantastic staff, that are so welcoming and friendly. The Venue brings a sense of fine dining that is not common place. I am more than pleased with my visit and will definitely plan another trip to see this wonderfully Italian foodie hub. Thank you for an excellent evening.

Food was delicious, service was great, but the decor could be improved.

Best mussels ever!Service is off the charts. By far my favourite restaurant in South Africa!

Little gem in the heart of the southern suburbs. My husband and I had an incredible night out at 95 at Parks. We indulged in the 6 course "Italian Experience" and loved every bite! Incredible value for money at R330 per person. The service was impeccable and we were treated like royalty! We loved that chef Giorgio popped over to our table to chat about his creations. We're looking forward to going back to sample more of what they have to offer!

I thought the food was excellent, on the expensive side but seriously lacking in ambiance
Sarah Erasmus
An awesome experience.

Absolutely vile. Horrible food, smart assed waitress. What a disappointment.

The lamb ravioli is so yummy, as was the chocolate fondant! I’ve been here twice and I’ve yet to be disappointed with the food.

The Service was pretty average. The staff is knowledgeable but little things like asking for cold milk and getting hot milk instead and waiting for service, knock back that perfect score.

The space allows for intimate dinners and there is an onsite car guard to make sure there’s enough parking for everyone.

I look forward to dining here again in the near future!
We were fortunate to attend a friend's birthday lunch at this restaurant today. I cannot fault anything of our experience there. The service was exceptional , every course (we had the six course taster menu) was perfect, the lamb ravioli was out of this world, and we felt that the food was more than enough in quantity to enable you to feel satisfied but not over-full. The decor is beautiful - we had bubbly in the gorgeous green conservatory beforehand and all in all it was a wonderful afternoon. We will definitely be back.

Just lovely! Professional service, great wine list, fabulous food. And the setting is quite wonderful! Will definitely be back! The tasting menu is also a great option!

Decent food but nowhere near asset good as Keerom or Kloof branch. Lacking in service and ambiance. Not a bad local option if you're in the area... But expensive and sometimes average.

We were booked into the private dining room & wine cellar. The atmosphere is amazing and Courtney, our waitress, was amazing! We had lamb ravioli with burnt butter sage sauce as a taster ....... oh my word incredible!
We had platters of different cuts of meat and a variety of side dishes. Meats were incredible and full of flavour. Potato & polenta gnocchi each equally just melted in your mouth.
Highly recommended. Well done!

The boyfriend made a booking at carne for date night last week. Carne is a lovely restaurant, with such a focus on star service. Based solely on that , I would give it a 4.5 rating. However, there were some elements of the food that did not amaze and brought the rating down for me.

As I said, the service here is phenomenal ; from the friendly front of house to our waitress Peggy , we felt well-looked after and genuinely impressed with the level of attentiveness.

Small gestures such as a bread basket with a few different types of bread , as well as two complimentary mini meat balls , were a great touch. However, the bread was not the best and the meat balls were a little on the dry side. Their mini meringues as a clever alternative to mints with the bill were lovely , though.

Peggy brought out a try of meat to explain the different cuts and their properties , demonstrating a keen knowledge for the product and menu items. The decor is simple and classy.

My boyfriend ordered a steak with crispy potato wedges. I wasn't really in the mood for a steak and am a sucker for home made filled pasta , so I ordered the karoo lamb ravioli in the butter and sage sauce. I was told that the portion on the menu was only a starters portion , so they doubled it for a main.

The ravioli were good , but not the best I have had. I liked the lamb flavour but unfortunately the pasta was not rolled out as thinly as it could have been. As for the sauce, it was delicious but really a little bit too heavy and rich, also lacking sage flavour coming through. Kind of wish I had ordered the starter portion and a side of veg instead to make it lighter.

My boyfriend's steak, while cooked perfectly to the requested medium rare , was a little tough. Crispy potatoes were on point though.

While we sat indoors as it was a little chilly, they have an amazing outdoors area , and a lovely veggie garden which we had a little walk through before left.

So all in all: amazing service but the food, while good, fell slightly short of a 4.0 rating.

We were seated in a lovely private room which doubles as the wine cellar. Created a very special ambience.
Starters were avocado salad with rocket cherry tomatoes fresh pear pecan nuts and olive oil. The other starter was sirloin carpaccio with rocket Parmesan and olive oil.
As the restaurant name implies this is not a place for vegetarians.
The meat is displayed on a platter with a thorough explanation of the various cuts.
We chose sirloin on the bone, ribeye, trio of fillet.
Sauces were green peppercorns, bernaise.
The steaks were awesome if somewhat on rare side when we ordered medium rare.
Wines were Neil Ellis Sav Blanc 2016 and Springfield Work of Time 2009.
Desserts - chocolate fondant, tiramisu, sorbet and creme brûlée.
Service attentive and professional.
I sadly don't have any photos but I loved carne! We were a group of maybe 10 people and were treated with warmth and really good food! The waiter showed us all meat selections (we ended up ordering all options) and heard no complaints! The dessert (chocolate fondant) was great too, just add ice cream when you do order it! Also, the ravioli starter comes at a personal recommendation.
*not for people on budgets!
Peter
Very welcoming and amazing service. Always on point and our waiter explained every meal in detail, thus making it a very hard decision to pick the best meal for our mains as everything sounds and looks so good

We had the ravioli as a starter and it was a piece of heaven in our mouths, mains was the prime steak and it was above average "not the best in town but worth the experience" Finally home made ice cream and coffee to end off the night.

A great place and a nice intimate atmosphere.

It was definitely worth the experience and the price as a once off visit 😊

We booked early and were the first people there. On arriving we received a cold reception.
We brought our own wine and were told that corkage is not allowed in no uncertain terms. We did not find the seating or the service pleasant and decided to leave.
The maitre'd said that it was "perfect" with her when we left.
Kieran Pearce
While I found the steak immaculate, the pricing structure leads much to be desired. Top steak houses around cape Town offer the same product for half the price. Still a great meal though. Presentation was awesome and the interaction from the staff was fun. Won't rush back though

Went to carne for casual dinner. Wasn't expecting much, as not a fan of steak houses. However, was pleasantly surprised. Service was great - waiters were knowledgeable and turned up without having to be flagged down. Very good knowledge of both n food and wine menu.

Had the steak tartare. Was really good. People at our table ordered rack of lamb, lamb t-bone and a ribeye. All was very well cooked and prepared. The choc fondant dessert was good, but the homemade ice cream was disappointing.

Finally, we are grappa fans, and was well impressed with both the selection and tableside recommendation and tasting presented by the waiter. All in all, great evening.

Had a great dining experience here. The steak was out of this world! We chose the prime rib on the bone - it was first presented on a platter so you could chose your own cut of meat - and it was then grilled to perfection as ordered. This is a really, really good steak-house - but not for the "slim-of-wallet" - pricey - but very good!

Had an amazing meal at Carne. Their steaks are beyond good, their chips should be illegal cause they are like crack, their steamed broccoli is unsurpassed by any place I've been to. I can not wait for my next visit. Btw you have to have their fondant ;)

After visiting the two Carnes in town which are very lively I find the one in Constantia very quiet. The service isn't great at all. They forgot our food last time we visited. The food is always up to standard and good

This was a great experience. An Old house turned into a restaurant venue. High ceilings and wooden floors and each room is another spot with diners. They have a good wine selection but a bit pricy. The food was amazing. We chose 4 different main meal and they created a sharing platter for us. So all 4 of us could taste all 4 meats.
Accommodating, friendly and a 1 of a kind experience. Carne is a treat for anyone- except vegetarians.
Andrew Campbell
Our meal was good, with two well cooked steaks (rib eye and sirloin on the bone both done medium rare) and the lamb ravioli. We agreed that the ribeye was much tastier. Both the steak eaters failed to finish, due to quantity not taste, while the ravioli was deemed outstanding. We enjoyed a reasonably priced 09 Springfield Work of Time from the expensive wine list.

Chocolate fondant was ordered again, and didn't disappoint, although tiramisu and gelato were ordinary.

Remains great for an interesting steak night out, but expensive relative to other meat or Italian alternatives.

One of the nicest dining experiences we have had since being in Cape Town.
This quaint little restaurant sits inconspicuously in an old house. The high ceilings and the proper wooden floors give a great feel to the place. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

The food we had was pretty good, the lamb starter and steak for mains.
My only gripe would be that the steak was a little over done and the dish as a whole lacked a little finesse that I was expecting.

After seeing this restaurant on a top 10 restaurants in South Africa list we were eager to eat there. On the up side the decor and service is spectacular. However the food was dismal, the ravioli starter and fillet main was well below average and the lamb rack was average at best and very fatty. We gave honest feedback and the response was very positive, we got a free dessert, chocolate fondant which was pretty spectacular! Unfortunately for the price you pay it was not even close to worthwhile and I live in joburg so probably won't be back there...

If you enjoy your meat then make sure you visit Carne. Knowledgeable waiters and beautiful meat full of flavour. Great wine selection too. The rib eye was perfectly cooked, flat iron steal tender and the pork sirloin one of the best I've every tasted (and seen). Sauces well put together but perhaps a little on the thick side. The steak tartar starter was not so impressive though lacking seasoning and missing most of the crucial ingredients. All in all a great experience and a thoroughly enjoyable evening out.

Great sellection of wine, good service, nice a tmosphere. You can get just about any cut of beef steak at this place. The meat is good and simply done. Mains are served with a side of your choice. The problem with Carne is that they don't serve a coherent dish or plate and for what you're paying you're better off spending your money elsewhere. Sure they'll give you a good piece of meat; but let's face it.. It's hard to eff steak up. I've been a few times because it's close to home but there's no other reason to keep me going back.

We have been to Carne in the City and to the Constantia venue twice before but not this year. Once again we found it costly! Michele had the "seafood" which was a tiny portion smothered in an olive sauce which was overpowering and disappointing. The steaks were all succulent and tasty. We had rib eye, sirloin on the bond and prime rib and no one was disappointed. The chocolate Fondant was delicious, rich and tasty especially with the ice cream. The Tiramisu was a generous portion but disappointing with too much biscuit. The bill with 2 bottles of wine came to R500 per head, about €35 which is what I paid for a pasta in Istanbul last month! Michele's verdict is the food is good but expensive, wine is good but exorbitant and we can get better value for money in the Constantia Valley!

Had our management dinner here and we were so impressed. Coming from the industry we were ready to judge but the waitress impressed us with her knowledge of the food and cuts of meat. The steak was so amazing. Loved the dinner. Felt like a treat!

I had never been to Carne before but when it moved into the neighbourhood we had to go. Needless to say the cuts of meat were interesting, cooked to perfection and the service was incredible. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and advised us perfectly. After this experience it is my mission to try every Carne in Cape Town.

A must go for meat lovers!! Everyone's meals were divine and were cooked to perfection. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The bar one cheesecake was the most amazing way to end the meal

Wow what a meal & experience! Rather pricey but worth every penny. The waitress was lovely & started the evening off with a meat platter to explain the different cuts of meat to order. To start I had the slow cooked lamb ravioli which was delicious. For mains the family ordered the beef prime rib, fillet medallions & sirloin in the bone. I absolutely loved the prime rib cut with mushroom sauce - highly recommend it! The cuts of meat are definitely on the large size though - 550g prime rib. For dessert the creme brûlée & chocolate fondant was yummy yummy. If you're looking for a treat then this is the place to go.

My boyfriend surprised me here for my birthday! And it was an absolute treat! Our waitress was incredible. I had marrow bone starters and my boyfriend had ravioli. So good! I loved how they explained all the different meat cuts and made excellent recommendations based on what we were looking for. We had sirloin and it was outstanding. Sauce on the side was a little too small for the price but that's my only complaint. Dessert was outstanding! Highly recommend the choc fondant. Wish I could have a birthday every weekend :P

Tool club had it's March night here. It was a great evening. The atmosphere is great . Our waitress was great and made are evening a pleasure. The meat, was fantastic with the spider steak and the sirloin being the best out of the 8 mains that were had.
But there was a sour taste left in my mouth. I hate feeling being ripped off and by ordering the cheese platter( should be call slithers) for R90 . I got that feeling. 6 slices of cheese thinner the cheese Mc Donald's puts in it burgers is what greeted us. For R90. Com on . That is just not fair. If there was 100gm of cheese on the board that was a lot.
So will we go back again.mmmmm time will tell
