A Heartwarming Culinary Journey: Kole & Deeg's Delightful Flavors Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kole & Deeg in Tulbagh is an absolute treasure that stole my heart. I can confidently say that their food is worth the trip all the way from Cape Town. It's rare to find a place where every bite feels like a warm embrace, and Kole & Deeg exceeded all my expectations. The roosterkoek, a traditional bread, was the star of the show. The flavors were simply exquisite, and each ingredient blended together in perfect harmony. The love and passion the chefs put into their creations were evident with every bite, and I couldn't resist returning for a second visit. During our first visit, we savored the lamb roasterkoek toastie and the crispy chicken wrap. Believe me when I say that the chicken wrap was the best I've had in ages. The flavors were bold, and the chicken was incredibly tender. The lamb roasterkoek toastie was equally heavenly, offering a mouthwatering combination that left us wanting more. On our second visit, my husband enjoyed the beloved Boerewors roll, while I relished in the K&D beef burger. The Boerewors roll was a true South African delight, with a juicy sausage and delicious toppings that made it an instant favorite. The K&D beef burger was a revelation, with a patty that melted in my mouth, bursting with unforgettable flavors. Not only is the food at Kole & Deeg exceptional, but the staff also added a personal touch to our experience. They welcomed us with open arms, radiating genuine warmth and kindness. Their passion for their craft was infectious, and it made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. In conclusion, Kole & Deeg is a culinary haven that will touch your heart and tantalize your taste buds. The flavors they create are unparalleled, and the genuine hospitality they offer is truly heartwarming. If you find yourself in Tulbagh, make sure to visit Kole & Deeg. Your taste buds and soul will thank you for it.

What a delightful place in the heart of Tulbagh. Freshly baked goods, fresh "roosterkoek" and delicious coffee. A gem not to be missed I'm Tulbagh. I had the eggs Benedict served on an open roosterkoek. I thought it was a great and refreshing dish. Unbelievable flavour and a good portion. The pasteis se Nata (custard tarts) were also not too bad. Not where you'd expect to find an eaterynof this quality, but Amazing spot it has to be said.

18 March 2023 The Eats (on two different occasions): Coffee shake. Chocolate shake. Salted caramel shake. Pastei de nata. Cortado. Capuccino. Veggie breakfast on a roosterkoek. Beefy breakfast on a roosterkoek. Falafel wrap. Bacon and cheese roosterkoek. A 6 pack roosterkoek for later. Pros: Fast service. Roosterkoeke are delicious. Coffee was good and the shakes divine. Cons: Portions could be greater; they are more like a snack than a meal. The roosterkoeke are a bit small in comparison to other establishments. The veggie breakfast roosterkoek in particular was quite a bit smaller than the beefy breakfast. To make you even more sad about the veggie breakfast roosterkoek is that it was only half a roosterkoek (the top half was not served along with the bottom half).

On our first trip to Tulbagh we happen to fall into this place which is across from our hotel. Gorgeous people and friendly staff! You can just sit down for a bottle of local wine, a craft beer or a quick bite. Happy I discovered it! So sad the Theater is gone. 😢
