FYI....clipped from Facebook: With pic of waiter..xLETS ALL SHARE THIS STATUS!!!!! I was at the Canal Walk @Wimpy SA today and what I saw blew my mind away!!! There was a seriously disabled man in a electric wheel chair in the Wimpy. He had just ordered an ice cream of some sort which was an effort on his part and on the staffs part, since this man also had trouble communicating. As I sat there watching this, I thought, "How is this man ever goin...g to manage to eat his ice cream?" As I was trying to figure it out, one of the waiters went and sat down with the man and started feeding him the ice cream. You could see that the waiter was not doing it because he was told to do it, you could see the compassion and love in his face. I sat there, totally amazed!! After the man had finished his ice cream he gave the waiter a big long hug! I have never seen anything like this at any restaurant! The waiters name was Vincent. He needs to get some kind of bonus or at least some recognition from the higher ups of the company!! You are so lucky to have an employee like Vincent! I am very impressed!! Initially not a Wimpy fan, I've been pleasantly surprised by the Canal Walk branch. It's become a go-to for me and my colleague during business trips, thanks to its convenient amenities like reliable Wi-Fi and charging points. The service, especially from our regular waiter 'Primrose,' is consistently excellent. He recognizes us on arrival, adding a personal touch. The management and the chef are commendable too, particularly when they quickly corrected a mistake with my order. My favorite is their Bacon, Cream Cheese, and Egg Burger - absolutely delicious, although I do wish Wimpy would improve their chips. Overall, a great spot for business travelers looking for good food and service.
Wimpy is Wimpy, and has been our favourite eatery since I can remember. Branches country wide, very convenient on a long trip. Always a pleasant stop for a quick snack, or something to quench the thirst.
Now and again a mishap, which will be rectified.
I dont like the machine cooldrinks, the only downfall for me. But overall good and satisfactory service. 😌

The salted caramel coffee wasn't good. I felt like you missed an opportunity to make it more delicious. For example, crush the ice and place cream on top as an option. The drink could have been a bit more sweet especially if it says it has condense milk in it.
Delicious burgers and milkshakes. Food prepared quickly but still fresh and tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and helped us park our big trolley out of the way so we could enjoy our meal. Will be back soon!
Having the ribs and calamari combo and all I can say is WOW! Ribs are juicy and very tasty and calamari strips the best I had in Cape Town.I never thought I will have a meal like this at Wimpy. Will be back for more!
Francie gave the upmost professional and friendly service we have had in a long time. She is absolutely amazing! The food and service was amazing! Cudos the manager, Marius knows what he's doing.
