Would have loved a non smoking seat but seemed as though every place they had was for smoking. Food was good but think I will give it a miss as a restaurant for the future
This is one of my favourite pubs in Centurion. It's close to my house, the drinks are reasonably priced, the food is great and there's a really good vibe. They have a Brandy special, which should be all the reason that you need to go there. I would advise making a reservation (even if just for a few drinks), as it is difficult to get a decent table.
They have some of the best ribs ever. If you come there at the right time, they actually make the ribs and the braai-broodjies on the braai outside. I literally never leave there without ordering ribs. As much as the ribs are next level awesome, you have to add the "magic" sauce to it. The sauce seems like a combo of achar and mayo, but OMG it's delicious.
Ordered the farmhouse breakfast and asked for replacement for the chips and was offered a salad which I really appreciate.
Got one of the best breakfasts in a long time, did not finish it all as it was just too much but very tasty and well presented for a pub! 😜
We went for a good steak and fries on my husbands Birthday! Alhough the place is small, and crowded, and people can smoke everywhere, the food was amazing! All the meat they serve are prepared outside on a fire, who doesnt love some braai vleis? Served with pap en souse, chips, salad or a traditional braai broodjie! If you book a table of 10 or more people, you can order any weekday special on that day! The guys faced a 1.4kg T-Bone steak, it was crazy! Pepper Chair will definitely see us again

Best eat drink and have a good time venue.
Best steaks i have tasted in a while, service was good and they went the extra mile, loved it the 1.5 kg steak special was amazing.
Will definitly be returning.
Only reason i give it 4 and not 5 is because of the sudden Hubbly ban, the hubbly relax have a jol atmosphere was the best part of the dinning experience, i will return because it is a place worthy or returning to ,just wish they allowed hub again.
Best Grill I have ever visited. Food have Great taste. Never had any complaints about the place. Good for family dinner or business lunches. Or just because you whant to have a braaivleis.
A few colleagues and i dine here during lunch on the odd occasion. Pepper chair has quite a different vibe at night vs daytime; Hatfield square Afrikaans at night, pub-sophisticated during the day. Meat (Vegetarians will be disappointed with the menu) is grilled, outside, on open fires. The Braai-broodjie side is a must! They have a famous 1.4kg t-bone (all T-bones are on special on Wednesdays!)
A proper "Afrikaans jol" like you would only find in Pretoria. Good quality food and portions are enormous! Don't forget to check the "Soup of the day" specials on the board
Good vibe and attentive staff. Food was great and the beer cold. The Nachos were particularly good. Will definitely go again when we are in the area.
Low key environment, but great food. I'm a regular at Pepper Chair on Fridays or Saturdays when I get their amazing ribs on special. The sides are great and a braai broodjie is a must for anyone visiting. This place offers great value for money and the food is great. One of my favourites.
