Pasti de nata, lemon cake, small lemon meringue tartlets, the lovely ambience and magic garden, surrounded by mountains, tall silent trees. The best coffee stop, with lots to discover, in Central Drakensberg. Draai OM as jy die 'just passed the bakery' teken suen !
I disagree with Terry-Louise. It's not heaven on earth..it's a piece of heaven in heaven because let's face it the berg is heaven!
I had a quick lunch before departing to Pietermarietzburg. The garden is beautiful and the ambiance is real nice. It's pretty crowded during the meal time so hard to get attention. Food is good, had a spinach and feta quiche. Liked my big Cappuccino the most. Convenient parking.
As most places in the Drakensberg this place had good views. the atmosphere was quite and cosy. The garden was very well designed and kept. I was very pleased with the kids play area. The bakery was very impressive. Very busy in the weekend. plenty of parking. the driveway slightly bumpy. prices weren't bad. keep it up. I did see others get great service for the restaurant. Unfortunately its not halal.
Beautiful gardens, excellent food and service, great atmosphere. Definitely a top spot. Dont skip the cheese cake and regret it 😁.
This is the most amazing bakery I have ever visited. The decor and gardens outside are beautiful and the bakery itself has the most delicious items on sale.
There is a selection of savoury and sweet items on sale and a lovely cafe where you can sit and enjoy something to eat; light meals include breakfast, quiche and sweet treats.
Great coffee, great view, friendly staff, lovely to browse around – stunning morning out.
Loved the setting and the ambience. Had coffee n cakes. Was good.
Beautifully executed bakery cum restaurant and dreamy food garden and play area for children. Simply loved it there and will return for sure
We had a quick stop for a light snack and something to drink. The team at Valley Bakery handled the group of 11 people well and we enjoyed fresh baked products. The coffee is also great! Thanks to the Valley Bakery for your good fast service. It was an unexpected visit of 11 Adventure riders. We will for sure come and visit again.
An absolute surprise of a gem! The food is delicious and the baked goods are fresh and varied. I had a plant based burger and hubby had a beef burger with homemade "square" buns. Delicious. They also make the best spinach and feta mini quiches and absolutely scrumptious lemon biscuits and danishes. The breads sold as fast as they came out of the kitchen. Friendly staff too. Its a charming place and I'm really looking forward to the new garden after its renovations are done. I didn't give 5 stars only because I would have loved to have seen more variety of decor on sale and maybe fresh flowers or even potted plants for sale. By what they had available one can see the owners have very good taste so to me this bakery could be also a "destination". Will definitely return. A lovely place for family to eat and relax.
Lovely atmosphere and surroundings.
Went for cake and drinks, so I can't speak to the rest of the menu however, we were disappointed with the 2 cakes we ordered.
It wasn't super busy, but the service could have been better
It is stunning here and we had a lovely experience. The location is breath taking. The bakery/restaurant is surrounded by beautiful big trees and a pretty garden. There is a shop as you walk in selling various baked goods and a few other items. The restaurant is so quaint with a beautiful view out the large windows. We had their half size breakfast which is a great option for people like me who can never finish food. Would definitely recommend this place
