So I LOVE the yellow juice its my favourite! I have only had it a total of about four times now and i'm so hesitant to get it again. the juice costs R40 for a small and R50 for a big one, the first time I had it it was awesome, but now everytime i have it it tastes different, I would watch how they make it and sometimes they don't cut off all the lemon rind and it actually starts making the juice SO BITTER! I loved the sourness but now it's just a joke with the bitterness, I just got one and used basically my last money on it and I'm struggling to swallow it :( such a shame because it was my favourite, I didn't want to complain or be this person but I just had to this time i couldn't keep quiet, this time it was just SOOOOO bitter and when i asked them to taste it they say thats how it always is and it really isn't!!!! i know how this juice tastes haha

I always love their salads. Claris is an amazing employee!! She is super sweet and remembered my order even though they have done some rebranding and changed their salads (it's actually cheaper now!). She actually gave me a lemon with my salad because it used to come with lemon dressing. Awesome service 😊😊

Cape Town seems to be a pretty healthy place. We enjoy the sunshine, beaches and mountain hikes, relatively low stress levels (coz apparently we’re all that relaxed), and really good food. I guess that explains the explosion of health food places – take-away bars serving smoothies, wraps, and salads, raw food restaurants, banting cafés, and juice bars. And Cold Press, this week’s feature, is one of those.

I absolutely love love love this place and although the prices are fairly high, the portions are quite generous. . The "Up Stream" salad with Norwegian Salmon and pumpkin seeds is to die for. If you are interested in grabbing something quick to fill the gap, try The Gunshow smoothie with banana, whey protein, peanut butter, chia seeds and frozen yoghurt...YUM!!!!!!!

I'm an avid coffee drinker.. That being said means I know good coffee when I taste it. Cold Press serves amazing coffee. I got an Americano with Soy milk last time I was working in the area and I was not disappointed. I was shocked actually! There are different kinds of soy milk brands and whichever they are serving up at Cold Press is the best I've had thus far.

They also have a great selection of freshly pressed juices and yummy healthy food.

Counting the days till I go back!

I first went to Cold Press when my blog was new and they were new and I couldn’t think of a better place to write about in my first post about healthy food spots in Cape Town. They serve delicious cold pressed, pre-made juices which are bottled and ready to go, smoothies and all sorts of deliciousness for breakfast and lunch. Their service is quick and really friendly with everything just as available ‘to-go’ as it is to ‘sit-in’. There is such a great street café type vibe to this place, so even if you are running late and were planning on getting something to go, odds are you will want to linger a bit (it’s ok, just blame the traffic)

What an absolute breath of fresh air! I love the natural raw ingredients they use, the smoothies don't taste artificial or sweet, it is just so much goodness in a few sips!

We ordered a range of different flavours and we all agreed that it is the most natural smoothie you will get in Cape Town.

They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. They use expensive ingredients like almond butter, almonds and coconut milk.

Absolutely delicious!

Great coffee, delicious smoothies, juices and other healthy options on the menu. Relaxed cafe vibe. Read a newspaper, plug in and get some work done or grab a take-away.

I've never eaten here, but the take-away cappuccino is far better than the Vida opposite (not hard to beat Vida's coffee though). I'm not into the juice vibe.

A good idea but quite pricey if you go with one of their juice regimes. They make a good coffee, which for me is preferable over some of the other coffee establishments nearby..

Their cold pressed juices are to die for and the atmosphere is warm and inviting as well as very "healthy" at the same time. The interior is stunning and their staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful when it cones to suggestions. The only negative thing about this place is the fact that they are slightly pricy. Their food menus is very intriguing however it does not boast much of a variety.

I walk past this place every day and finally decided to give it a try. I'm a big fan of fresh juices and smoothies (including terrifyingly green ones) but have been a bit put off by the high prices at Cold Press up until now. I tried the Legend, which is packed with almond butter and cacao, and it was so good that I didn't even blink when the R48 came off my card. This might become my new afternoon habit! (I've gotta try ALL the juices, right?)

I absolutely love Cold Press. I do wish I were constantly richer so I could go there more often and indulge because their juices are pretty pricey (about 50 bucks a pop); but I understand why. Cold pressing is a method of juicing that is (experts say) the best way to drink juice because it keeps the greatest level of nutrients in tact. And flavour, too. Plus the juices are really filling because they're packed with tons of fruit and vegetables and superfoods that fill you right up.So when I am a little flush, I ignore my brain telling me that R50 for a juice is a bit ridiculous and just go with it; YOLO'ing about because their product is sooooo good. I have had a bunch of different juices there but my favourites are the Johnny Cashew (which is like drinking dessert) and Dirty Beets. You need to get there early ish though because they have a limited stock (due to the pressing) and sometimes run out by the late afternoon. They also make delicious, healthy sandwhiches (try the avo and feta one - it is so simple but sooooo good).I love that Cape Town is getting so many cool, healthy places and I LOVE juice. So this is a definitely a favourite place for me.

I passed by Cold Press on an early morning trek to university. I had the smash up, and despite the fact that it was early, it was delicious and fueled me for the rest of the day. The place is a bit pricey, but the quality of health at the place is top notch. So if you're a health foodie, the price is definitely something to overlook. They have a selection of delicious juices and the rest of the food looks amazing. I'll go back!

As someone that comes to this area on overnight business, I love being able to shop here. I appreciate that I can get fresh food made or already prepared. You can have salads or sandwiches made, as well as get food from the grill. Many options that are really great went you don’t want to go to a restaurant. They really have everything I need to be able to have stuff for the three days I’m in town. The employees are also friendly and there is a large security presence.

I work in the area, so Spar Cape Quarter is my weekly go-to for lunch. Their hot foods counter has a great selection of freshly prepared burgers, boerewors rolls, sosaties, sandwiches, vetkoek and other delicious grab & go meals. Their salad counter also has a wonderful selection of fresh toppings to build your own salad. Staff are friendly, and there is always a positive vibe in this store!

Normally get some really great service from the entrance right to the check outs. Was assisted by Portia, two portions of chips and chicken. She gave me two sachets of salt, I asked more salt and she tells me rules are rules and waves her hand. She also seems sick. Bless her soul. Thanks Portia. I enjoyed the extra salts.

Excellent Spar. Quite a maze of aisles, packed with everything one expects to find in a supermarket. Excellent vegetable section. Hope to see True Nature frozen dahls on their shelves soon.

Oh my word!! The best VEGAN section I have ever seen in a supermarket in Cape Town!! There is a pharmacy, it's clean and the fruit-n-veggie section is amazing too. Staff are friendly and I would highly recommend a stop here even if it's for a bottle of water. #Awesome

This was the local supermarket to our Cape Town Airbnb, and it's very good. Well-stocked with everything you need for a bit of self-catering (if you tire of Cape Town's restaurants!). Best thing we discovered was the salad & sandwich lunch offerings. Follow the locals in there as they pick up their lunches and you'll see why - you can have every kind of salad; grab a juicy steak and chips, fabulous toasted sandwiches. Plus a lovely bakery section with tempting cakes and sweets. (Also, if you're self-catering you can top up your electricity here). Staff are lovely and helpful. Overall, a great supermarket and a bit of a hidden gem for lunch!

The Spar at Cape Quarter has a wide selection of foods, they have their own salad bar. They also have a large butchery with marinated meats. The deli section is top class and has some really good and semi-healthy options for lunch. They have a hardware store upstairs. This Spar really is your one stop shop for household groceries

It is an absolute pleasure to walk in to this store. The staff members are the benchmark of what customer service is. This you will experience from the security at the door to the pancake lady, the merchandisers all the way to the most beautiful smiles from the cashiers.
