Even not being a vegan I been at Scheckter's RAW many times. Just love their dishes and the freshness, especially the pumpkin flapjack (my favorite one). Sometimes food comes a bit late but that's completely understandable considering that each dish is made at the time with super fresh ingredients.
After a hike up Lions head, we decided to go to Baked to try their very highly spoken of, Almond croissants and boy did they not disappoint! Freshly baked and SO yummy. And to top it off, they were served by a very friendly face! I had two poached eggs, and Parma ham on some bruschetta with a beetroot dressing, it was so delicious, all in all, a thumbs up from me! (Will definitely go back for a croissant or two)

Recently went to baked on regent and on first impressions I felt that it was very warm inside. I noticed that there was no aircon? Just a fan blowing in my direction. The place seemed rustic and somewhat buzzing! I ordered the poached eggs with mushroom sauce which was nice. I ordered soft eggs and received hard eggs 😞 but the produce was fresh. The portion sizes seem small but it's fine considering how rich the sauces are. The coffee was good. The only downfall to this place is that there is no aircon and the service is not the greatest unfortunately.
Amazing coffee! Dark, rich, smooth! The French toast is incredibly and overly sweet, so share it 😜 staff is Cape Townian "chilled" if you catch my drift
Solid little place that makes good coffee. Had the breakfast wrap with pancetta and it was really solid. The wrap in particular was really good. Eggs were cooked well and the pancetta was crispy and delicious. I can't complain.
Had a very good flat white at Baked on Regent, rich and aromatic and served at the right temperature. My mushrooms on sourdough bread with poached egg was a lovely choice to kickstart the day. Service nice and attentive. Great stopover for breakfast or a light meal.
Went for a late lunch with friends.
I had the mushrooms on ciabatta toast with poached eggs... felt there were too many mushrooms for the toast but it tasted amazing. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly.
Friend had beef pie which looked slightly dry but packed with filling. And others had pizza which they said was good.
Coffee is really great.
Service was good and appreciated the tasters of the cinnamon twists we got with our coffee after our meal.
What a great new addition to Sea Point! The restaurant greets you with a tempting rich smell of bacon and freshly baked pastries. The menu is small but has enough to suit any flavour. We had the Baked eggs on Brioche - a delicious rich fluffy bun filled with creamy scrambled eggs, rocket and honey bacon. We also had the almond croissant that is stuffed with more almond butter. The almond butter is made from almonds, butter and sugar. Super delish! They also make a mean carrot and ginger juice. Any negative is is that the scullery area is in full view. It's not great seeing someone scrubbing pans whilst enjoying a delicious hot breakfast.
Went for brunch - Best eggs benedict EVER! A special basil hollandaise sauce. Yum! Huge scrambled egg brioche with the most delicious mix and a touch of chilli. Can't wait to go back and have exactly the same thing again.
