Very fancy but empty. Was last night there for my anniversary. Food was amazing and very filling. It's a great place to bring a family. I will be back again with more friends and family.
Third time at this restaurant and I must say, each time was better than the last.. The full house steak burger was really good, asking for a substitute for the egg was a breeze too. Steak was surprisingly soft and flavourful. Couldn't resist the yummy desserts on offer and had the caramel and banana pancake. Yummy! Fresh cream was of good quality as well as the vanilla ice cream. Service was a bit meh but hey the food was really good. Looking forward to returning I must say.
Another one😁 recently my family and I had a lovely dinner at Alhambra Restuarant and once again no dissapointment. My pasta dish was out of this world. I've never been to any other restuarant that can ever begin to come close to the delishiousnes of their food. I also tasted my husbands food and oh my...., his butter chicken curry was amazing. Everybody in my family enjoyed the food and the experience as a whole.
Had my wedding reception at al hambra, set up was awesome. Lamb curry was awesome as well as salads, salsas, pickles. Deserts were very nice especialy the chocolate mousse. Service of waiters was not too good, we had 2 ask them 2 fill up the food as sum of the guests were sitting with empty plates. Tea an coffee needs improvement. But in all it was a gr8 atmosphere and evry1 realy enjoyed themselves. Will definately go again.
If you are looking for traditional cape malay food, this is the place! But dont worry they have other options too, such as pasta and grills. The seafood pasta was perfect, not to saucy, not to dry. The braised steak, rice and veg was flavourful. Curries were delicious. Reasonably priced and well worth it as portions are not skimpy. If you too lazy to cook, and you feel for homemade food- Alhambra will save you!
Where to start...I couldn't fault the restaurant on anything...especially when the near perfect food was coupled with great company. Staff is extremely friendly and polite. Ambiance is really mellow and warm. Food was great and the fruit shake was like nothing I ever had before. Would definitely visit this establishment again. Lastly, pricing is on par with other gourmet restaurants, if not cheaper.

I held my 21st birthday here on August 21st, 2016 and oh my, was mine mind absolutely blown. They were amazing hosts and made everyone feel so welcome. They decorate the front part of the restaurant EXACTLY how I wanted it.
The food, was a 3 course buffet, was to die for! It is almost a year later and my family and friends are still gushing about their food and service. THAT IS how good it was.
Ever since then, I've regularly visited the restaurant for breakfast and for more of their 3 course buffets.
Not only is the regular decor of the restaurant beautiful, the staff and owners are some of the friendliest staff I've ever met.
I can't wait to return for the millionth time 😊

So last night was my second visit to Alhambra restaurant and this time it was to celebrate my husbands birthday and we had an amazing evening. Sure, there were a few hiccups but nothing that couldn't quickly be fixed. Our hostess for the evening made it all magical so if you ever find yourself at Alhambra, ask for Rizqah Ramies(no known association to this person prior to this evening-just giving credit where its due). Despite being ill, she was extremely pleasant and understanding especially with our two year old and it was just so much less stressful with someone who was patient with us. With regards to the meal itself, do give the T-bone steak a try, my husband really enjoyed it and as for the seafood platter-it's quiet filling but maybe a slight improvement on the garlic butter maybe required. The platter is big enough for about 2-3 people. Now that they have a card facility, I will definitely go there again. The only other thing that the place lacked was a babyseat which I highly recommend the owners obtain for when I return. After reading a few of the other reviews and coming from a service orientated industry I know that there are good days and bad but give it a try again-im sure you would be pleasantly surprised.
The restaurant has a nice relaxed feel and is not cluttered.
All their food is well presented unlike most other establishments. The taste is consistent whenever i go there, and whatever i eat. Their seafood curry is my favourite and there burgers is top notch. A bigger desert menu is all that it lacks
Ordered from them twice via uber eats. Braai platter was delicious. The chicken rooti gastby was a generous portion and so tasty. The chicken burger was also delicious. Their onion rings are crunchy.

The food was amazing, and the service was overall good. We had mutton curry, fried chicken and savories. For desert we got dark chocolate cake with ice cream and strawberries which was wonderful 😊. Even the paintings were beautiful.

Absolutely beautiful place for any event. We were extremely satisfied with food & service. I would recommend Alhambra any day to anyone,do not waste your time searching elsewhere. We had a buffet and everything from ribs, paella down to vegetables and salads and especially desserts were magical. Definitely using them again in future

Found it too noisy with three small functions happening at the same time without sound barriers . The tables were very beautifully laid out. . There were no Mike systems in place as one cud not here the speeches. The food was cold, this made it in unsavoury. There was loadshedding but they need to have some way of keeping the food warm.

The evening was delightful. We were a party of about 50 people for a 70th birthday. I was highly impressed with this event. The table were laid out beautifully, and the foods was absolutely delectable. The starters was a great tasting experience and the main meal meat, chicken, ribs and sausage were very succulent and tender. The mushroom sauce was divine. The dessert was lovely including the beverages. We were pleased to even have a Mike. The waiters were on the ball and very helpful. I was indeed impressed with Alhambra tonite. Well done to you. Keep up the good work.
Celebrated my 60th birthday dinner here on 11Apr21. Service excellence from first meeting to discuss menu options combined with great service on the night. The well presented awesome dishes, drinks and delectable deserts set the tone for a relaxed evening. The staff went out of their way to please all attendees. A beautiful evening was had by all.
This venue is highly recommended, all guests expressed that a revisit to the restaurant is on the cards.

I have eventually gone to the place after all the reviews it received. It’s a very nice and cosy place nice Mountain View and the music in the place set a nice ambience. The starter crumbed mushrooms was great. The mains was huge . I had the lamb breyani with paapa dooms and three condiments and my wife had the herb chicken breast with roasted veg and mushrooms ravioli. It’s was superb. Dessert banana and caramel pancakes another hit just big enough to share.so it you looking for authentic breyani don’t waste your time with these corner shop that sell per kilo . They do offer take away. Will definitely be back.
Beautifull and relaxing venue. The food was immaculate, and the ambiance was awesome. The food was not overpriced but great value for money. I highly recommend this venue.
