I am still surprised why this place only got 4.0 stars when the quality of service and food are top notch. The staffs are attentive especially Sunny, he is our superstar. He recommended us his favorite menu Tempura rock shrimp which later on became our favorite menu too. We visited here on our first day of this trip and came back for the last day before our flight and Sunny still recognized us! Food was delicious, and big portion. Highly recommended!
A paradise for seafood lovers, Ocean Basket is located in the V& A Waterfront on the 1st floor. As you enter the restaurant, the aroma of the seafood being grilled to perfection devours your olfactory senses. The opulence of the interior seems to invite you into this seafood haven. The staff is a cut above the rest who ensure nobody leaves with an inch of space in their stomach. With a well curated menu, there seems to be something for everyone. Each and every dish is well plated and cooked/grilled to perfection and the entire gastronomical experience forces itself into the core memory for many years to come. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to the Cape Country.
very pleasant and friendly staff. we ordered “seafood for two” R410 and the portion was very large for two women. This portion is for at least 3-4 people. We took the rest of the dish home with us 🥰. Also, they bring very tasty hot bread 👍🏼🤤 I recommend it to everyone 👍🏼
Zebedia was an amazing server! A smile on his face the whole time and super attentive. And Julian the manager was fabulous, so kind and helpful and relaxed. The food was beyond great and so affordable. The whole team was so great! Lovely atmosphere and can’t wait to come again!! Really loved it very much and would highly recommend!

The night we visited was SO busy, it was mad!
No stress, the staff looked after us without breaking a sweat.
The food was very good and was on our table very quickly, with no drop in quality.
Overall, food was enjoyed by all and was simply delicious, uncomplicated and genuine.

Had a very good experience, the place was quite busy, however the service from our waiter Sunny was great! We were 3 adults and 1 baby (9 months old), we didn't have to wait long for ANYTHING. Cudos to the men in the kitchen, fast, efficient and everything made was DELICIOUS!
This OB is by far the best one in the country!

I have never experienced such great customer service as I did at Ocean Basket Waterfront. The staff were very friendly, our food was brought quickly and the food was excellent. I am very impressed the way this restaurant is operating, and this was also during the Sunday lunchtime peak period.
