The food is amazing the staff are awesome and the revamp has brightened up gardens with a warm welcoming outlook. Well done on a great change.
Hartlief’s in the Garden Centre is a clean and shiny European style Deli with German food and products. The staff are friendly and efficient and all their fare is excellent quality. You can have a canteen style hot meal at the coffee counter, or buy to take home. I always have a roast beef and cheese sandwich on a crispy white roll, and I ask for extra mayo! They actually butter their rolls unlike most sandwiches at most restaurants. No skimping, good food in good portions. And their coffee is excellent too.
Running around do errands today and wanted to catch a small fresh bite to eat and a coffee. I usually stop at Hartlief for deli supplies and decided to sample some of the food. We ordered a cappuccino and iced coffee to drink and a roast beef mini baguette and a black Forrest ham and cheese croissant. The coffee wasn't to my liking at all. I didn't even finish it because it was burnt and tasted grainy. The food on the other hand - lovely. All the ingredients where fresh and tasty and to the Hartlief quality and standard.
Saturday morning grocery shopping tends to take a while and afterwards you're famished! Andrew 'Skate' Calothi and I stopped in here last Saturday for a snack on the run. I ordered their Parma ham croissant and Andrew had their steak tartare. Delicious, fresh, satisfying. This is a great place to pick up fresh meat and artisan charcuterie, too.

A deli type store, serving sandwiches, cakes, and hot meals. Looks like they are renovating soon! Food is truly German, and delicious. The self-service style order system typical European, and those behind the counter are very friendly.

We have been frequenting the Hartlief Deli since it was Hartlief, then turned to Raith's, and now back to Hartlief again.
An early and quick dinner before getting the shopping done after work? This is the place. Comforting and great tasting food. Friendly staff.
I always get the steak with the two different kinds of potato salad.
Won't rate it 5 only because it isn't a 5-star restaurant.
Hartlief Deli is the new name for the rebranded Raith Deli which had a special place in my heart for such a long time. This German deli offers a delicious assortment of cold meats, sausages and salads. Although they are slightly pricey, their meats and food is of the highest quality - and you can't taste it. I definitely recommend trying their meals from the food counter, and trying out some of their cold meats, salami sticks and some unique German treats.
I was pleasantly surprised, a wonderful place to visit. They have amazing food, everything under one roof. I'm going back very soon, love their food, great service and friendly staff

Wonderful meat deli. Great quality of fresh, marinated and pre-prepared processed meats. High quality standard. Also provides simple meals and European salads. The meal of the day is great value. The only place to get steak tartar.
Incredible service and quality. Fed 30 people on a piece of pork neck that cost only R250! Beautifully butterflied and the marinade provided was outstanding. Butcher went the extra mail - didn’t get his name but he was a chose dude I believe.

Nothing fancy basic seating for a, quick sit down and eat. Good basic comfort food served in canteen style at reasonable prices. We had the eisbein with sauerkraut and pork belly with mash. The eisbein was good but lacked the crackling. The deli has some delicious takeaway rolls, excellent cold meats and other meats. The coffee is also good. I wouldn't rave about their cakes. The staff are really friendly.
A great place to visit and stock up on deli products. From butchery food items to home cooked meals and cold meats. Friendly and helpful service each time. Located in the Gardens Shopping Centre with ample parking space available.

Love to eat a Brötchen @ Hartlief and always enjoy - but now you have a very inexperienced Barista - please train. No serviette, impossible to ask as he fiddled with machine all the time.
THERE is no other lunchtime place if Hartlief is open. Their lunchtime specials are a win and of course their award winning sausages....
Awesome Deli with meats, German products and bakery that are always of the highest quality. They also have eat in available. Well worth a visit at Gardens Shopping Centre.
Their pretzel rolls with various cold meats and cheeses are awesome.
