Great brunch stop in central Cape Town. Many interesting and unique dishes on the menu, ingredients are fresh and the flavours were top-notch; rich and very satisfying portion sizes. Only tried one of their dessert options and while it was still visually up to their high standards, it tasted a little bland. Coffee was great and would definitely recommend any of their savoury croissants or egg-based dishes. Staff were great and the ambience / decor are perfect for a daytime meal.

……Our daughter choose this quaint venue for her birthday B-fast celebration! We had never heard of this place but it was obvious that she knew of its existence and also knew that they were very famous and have an outstanding reputation for the best Italian Inspired food! They even display the Award confirming this fact on the wall! Our trip to here was filled with anxiety as they don’t normally take bookings unless it’s for six or more patrons! When we got here we just. Just found place for three as the only other seating’s were the counter at the window looking out onto Loop Street that can just about seat four sitting shoulder to shoulder! Already one can see and feel the vibe and ambiance when approaching this establishment seeing it already just from outside! When you enter you are taken aback by the sheer cleanliness of the place and the bright white wall, white counter tops with mirrors on the side which are sparse-lii decorated just a painting here and there and some small wall-plates and also the green and red flower pots against the white looks prettii and Christmas-ii! But the striking painting that catches your eye is the Famous Di Vinci painting slap-centre in the middle of the ceiling of “Creation of Adam” which is also on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican City in Rome! How awesome, if you ever saw the real thing you will be immediate-lii be transported back to Rome! The owner/manager is pleasant and so are the staff members, our waitron Hyzel was on point and very efficient in executing her duties. They also display some yummii cakes and pastries on the counter and as we observed many people just swing-by to buy their cakes! The menu has many impressive B-fast meals to choice from and we started off by ordering our warm Large Flat-whites and a Cortado! They were served hot, hot which is always nice because many restaurants never get it right! Our mains were “Gemelli Twins” which is two poached on Sour-bread toast, chips and bacon is optional, “Bacon-Butty” which consist of two fried eggs with crisp-ii bacon on a toasted Brioche Sesame Bun again fries and cheddar-cheese is optional, “La Colazione” which happens to be a plate full of awesome-ness which is made up of a poached-egg, crisp-ii bacon, apple pork & sage banger, balsamic roasted tomato, flat mushroom, wilted Spanish, smoked paprika-beans served with rye-bread Mmmmmmmmmm-h insidious-lii delicious, I always maintain that poached eggs are poached-eggs but when presented as the meals here are presented it becomes a total-lii different story! Our meals were very satisfying so we just had to buy some cakes on the go, the cheese-cake looked incredible and so was the Nutella raspberry brown-ii and the cinnamon-slice! The seating is tight even the tables and chair are smallish and snazz-zil-lii made they kind of remind you of your kiddies furniture but in a good way but when the place is full as it was on this Saturday morning the Vibe & Ambiance is electric and even when the meal is finish and kraal you try to remain in your seat as long as you can or are able to! We fell in love with this place immediate-lii and will just have to come back to try their lunches and dinners even if we have to increase our numbers so that we can reserve a table rather than gambling on getting in when we arrive there! We are also in agreement with the award that they boost of and so rightful-lii display “Winner-Best Italian Inspired Eatery”……..Put this place on your Wish-List of “To Visit Places” in the Near-Future!!!!.......................

Bustling little spot in CBD. Quick wait for a table was absolutely worth it. Service was quick, friendly and attentive despite a full house. Food was fresh with homemade flair. Pancakes were fluffy and soft. La Colazione had an apple and sage pork banger which tasted out of this world.

Amazing experience at this cute restaurant / coffee shop. The owner himself sat with me and we had a chat which was really special. The food was incredible, the coffee was perfect and the ambiance was transcendental. I couldn't think of a better place for anyone looking for a bite to eat with friends, a business meeting or just a quiet coffee. Thank you!

Man, what a whopper of a cafe! Mellow vibes surround this gem in its bustling city surrounding it. Food portions were quite large and definitely tastebud-satisfying. We had one beef open wrap, one chicken open wrap and a poached egg on a croissant. For 3 people the bill totalled just over R300 which I wouldn't consider to be a bad price. Have yourself a visit for brunch sometime; the atmosphere and decor go hand in hand and you may just be pleasantly surprised.

Good food great service. Ask for double shot if you like your cappuccino strong. Loved the vibe. 😋 I give them 5 stars because not only does this place provide great food and service, I forgot my handbag and the staff ran out to the street searching for me to return it. 👍🏻 ✊ 🇿🇦 ❤️

You come here for the bustle, buzzing with life and energy means that the service may take a while. This however is great if you've come to take in the scenery. A stellar decorating job and a small but diverse menu offers very tasty meal or bakery options. Will definitely go back if even just for vanilla bean iced coffee.

Amazing service, ambience and atmosphere! It's a small restaurant that should be recognized more. The food is delicious, the portions are good and the price is reasonable. Lovely coffee options and you can do your work there as well! A place that you should definitely visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
