Not cheap but the food is great. Lovely view of Table Mountain and the harbour outside but you can also sit inside and see a bit of it. Service can be hit and miss but more good than bad.

I had to give this experience 5 stars. It is a beautifull dining room and setting , however walk past all that, through the doors leading outside and you can sit overlooking the harbour with a beautifull backdrop of table mountain. The dim sum was simply delicious especially the chili oil it was served in. Extremely well balanced.

Amazing food & great atmosphere. Their dumplings are incredible, definitely my favourite!

Great food, friendly staff and very good service! We took a long time to choose what to eat, but when we chose, the beer arrived almost immediately, and the food followed very soon after. We only waited about 3 minutes for the food. Very speedy service. The food was delicious and very filling. So filling we had to get a take away when not even half of the food was eaten. I recommend it!

Decided to treat my mom for lunch at Haiku earlier today, the waiter was unprofessional, slow and always distracted when trying to order and always no where to be found.

While serving us the waiter seemed angry and kept taking his frustration out on us. Which is totally unacceptable.. After desperate attempts to get someone's attention, a lady which seems to be the manager acknowledged us.

I used to love the Haiku brand but unfortunately this experience has been extremely disappointing.

Terrible service from the waiters and extremely displeasing dishes served. I was also charged more than what I was surpose to have been charged because the waiter decided to add things to my bill that I didn't even order. I will never go back there again. Their portions are also extremely expensive and you really are only paying for a bland piece of meat or vegetable. I am so disappointed that I wont waste another second of my time typing about my horrid experience at Haiku.🤬😡

We had an amazing food experience at Haiku. The food was so delicious. We were able to order from both menus which made things so much better as Bukhara's food was so delicious too. Our waitress Asisipho was very friendly and she definitely knows the menu well because she could answer all our questions about it. We will definitely be visiting soon again.

One of my favorite restaurants in the V & A Waterfront, but tonight I asked them whether it was fine if I left, because after 45 minutes no food arrived

Been to Haiku on two occasions, 7th & 8th anniversary for supper. First to the one in CBD and then (last night) to the V&A Branch. I can confidently say that I had a good all round experience at both branches which my wife will agree to.

Our waiter last night was very friendly & professional & was able to give recommendations and knew the menu very well.

The place not just have good food, but an excellent ambiance to go with it.

Ricardo

I like Haiku. Everything they have on the menu is good but I think they are missing some dishes and they close way too soon. Special props to the pekin duck and spicy prawn dim sum

We were greeted at the door and told that we can only opt for either the Haiku or Bukhara menus. Despite having been countless times before and having ordered a mix from both menus, we opted for Haiku. We were seated and handed menus. The waitress was polite and well clued up. We placed our order and 10 minutes later, the waitress returned to inform us that the sushi chef was not at work and she had no clue. The food came and it was good, but very disappointed about not being told at the door that sushi was unavailable.

Excellent service, vibe and always have a beautiful meal. Recommend the Chen Yaun Fish, Peking Duck and spinach hau gau dim sum 🙌🏼 Sizzling dishes: lamb, chicken and beef options are also super delicious and make for a rather theatrical experience (go and see for yourself)

Was a nice place. Cool vibe. Phad Thai lacks flavour and prawns. I wish i chose something better. The service isnt super great either. Sweet and sour fish was great.

I was surprisingly disappointed. I had very high expectations. The seating arrangements are not the best considering shared space with another restaurant. Our waitress was not clued up on the menu and half the dishes and drinks were not available. The food was average, so were the cocktails.

Delicious Thai Paneng Beef, perfect combination between chili and sweetness with fried rice to seal the deal. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes.

If you choose to sit outside you'll get a great view of Table Mountain and the waterfront.

Food here was the epitome of great Indian food. Everything I had was just perfectly cooked: the prawn curry and the prawn biryani.

The prawn avocado tempura was uniquely cooked where both the prawn and avocado were breaded and fried.

Bottom line: divine.

I didn't believe my friends when they consistently said that the Haiku in Waterfront is worse than the one in town, but, alas, here I am. My rating is only to compare the branch to the one in town.
The service was lacking during lunchtime when we waited about 15 minutes for our waiter to even get our drinks order, by which time we had already decided on what we wanted to eat.
Although the situation is supposedly pleasant, the outdoor seating is next to a high-frequency beeper that is installed to distract pigeons. This isn't their fault, but be warned if you intend to sit outside and have young ears.
The plates we were given were of course from the Bukhara side and mine had a smudge of curry that hadn't quite washed off. I'd recommend that they try to incorporate the bowls for the Haiku tapas sharing.
The food was... alright. Definitely not as much of an ordeal as the town branch. The soup dumplings had absolutely no soup, and the pad Thai was a worrying orange colour which I've never encountered.
It's possible that the difference is owing to a different chef, but it doesn't change that I'm not likely to return to this branch.

Went to Haiku (same place as Bukhara), feeling for some sushi. The soft shelled california was really good with their dimsum being very tasty. Had their sizzling beef as a main and was surprised by how large the portion was. Enough for two people, only problem is poor waiter service couldn't explain if dish came with rice or not.

Tried haiku with Iman. My first time at this branch, it was pretty empty - granted we had an earlier lunch (Cape Town runs late constantly) I had a main here but also a few things from Bukhara. My main was Singapore prawn and jasmine rice. It was perfectly cooked. I also enjoyed my mojito

Haiku is an upmarket restaurant with a great setting at the V&A Waterfront and wonderful view of table mountain. The management and staff went out of their way to accommodate all our needs as we were a fairly large group. The service was very good and the food excellent. Highly recommend.

Amazing. Thank you. Attention to customers needs and great food. Thank you again. Moved me to a table with a view even though I was alone. Thank you.

I usually prefer the branch in cbd but this time around I was thoroughly impressed. I had the chilli prawns and garlic rice, a favourite of mine. It was absolutely delicious. The have some inventive and scrumptious dim sum as well definitely worth a try. The atmosphere can be very romantic with the views and the dim lighting. The nice thing is that you can order from the Bukhara menu as well definitely worth a try
