Absolute favorite place for sushi 🍣 and some wine 🍷. Service is incredible. The owner was aware that a friend and I were quite threatened by some of the homeless people and numerously tried to intervene which was comforting. The easthetic feels so genuine that it felt like an out of South African experience. The food is really good highly recommend their dumplings which is served as a complimentary side of any platter. There are also specials during the week which you can look out for.

What an incredible surprise! Home made boa and hand rolled pot stickers perfectly balanced with their dips and the best hot hot Szechuan hot hot chilli beef with well chosen vegetables in a bean broth … ambrosial and worthy of any Neijiang Buddhism Sagga. Will definitely be back.

I went based on a friend recommendation for dumplings as it's hand made. We wanted the full experience so we tried all types ; steamed pork, pan fried pork, mixed veg and pork wontons, streamed prawn and beef bao buns. I was so stuffed so I got me a oolong tea to digest everything. It was quite lovely. I just did not enjoy the steamed prawn as it was quite bland but the rest was really great. I'll definitely come again to have their sushi

This is honestly my most recommended and favourite place in the world, whether it be a takeaway or dine in. Their food is immaculate and service that compliments it. We drive all the way from Mitchell's Plain to get it and I truly think it'll most probably be a craving I'd have if I were ever to be pregnant one day lol. Such a fan of Linkos and definitely a hill I wish to die on.

A great spot for lunch, prices are decent and the food is AMAZING!!! Also they are generous when it comes to their portion sizes! I would highly recommend trying out their dumplings and egg fried rice 👌🏼

Linko is a charming, welcoming space in the heart of Obs, with a vibey, semi-eclectic decor that I really enjoyed. The interior is a lot bigger than it appears from the street, and thoughtful laid out for both main menu or sushi dining. The price points of the food are great and the online menu is up to date (just click the website link in the Google location above). Both the usual sushi and stir-fry based options are available, and it's a quick and tasty affair.
Although younger kids may not be super entertained by this dining experience, it is a great option for both family outings and date nights. The location makes the usual Obs parking Olympics unavoidable, but you could always park a little distance away (e.g. the lot opposite the Spar) and walking across. It is possible to find closer spots out of peak times, though.
Staff here are friendly and responsive and the owner clearly cares about his food, guests, and ambience. Worth a visit.

Love Linko’s. Their dumplings are definitely worth it and reasonably priced. They have weekday specials. We have made this place our quiet date night spot on Wed and Thu and go here solely for they chinese meals, fried rice and dumpling boxes. The sushi is fresh, but the preparation and technique something to be improved as the sushi is a bit bulky.

Ordered take away here on ubereats. The chicken chop suey had a good sauce and was tasty, but I really didn’t like the tom yum soup. The veggies were huge and hard, and the soup itself was very oily and not that tasty. Prawns were scarce and over cooked. Don’t think I would order from here again.

Excuse my french but I lost my "sushi virginity" @ Linko in 2017 and have been having orgasmic sushi ever since! :)<br/><br/>Today as always at Linko,It is a chilled and relaxed vibe with a nice welcoming waiter.<br/><br/>I had the salmon maki and crunchy tempura prawns plus the pan fried pork dumplings and i have to tell you it was worth every bite :)<br/><br/>The maki was invitingly fresh and you could just smell the nuri floating,the tempura was served hot and crunchy,the dumplings with the amazing sear from the pan and to top of it with my all time favourite of savanna dry :)<br/><br/>An amazing Sushi Sunday@ Linko🍣🥢

The food is overpriced for what you get and most of the sushi was rice barely any salmon or prawn, the tempura prawn was also halved to the point you only got one prawn on top of the sushi instead of 4 being one prawn for each piece. Very disappointed in this restaurant.

I’m not going to lie, I love Linko. It’s good honest authentic Asian cuisine so don’t expect “fine dining”<br/><br/>I work a stone-throw away from Linko and it’s my go-to place when I’m indecisive about lunch. The food is always fresh and tasty and I like the fact that all the dishes taste different, not doused with tons of soya.<br/><br/>My favourite is the Crispy pork, so much so that there are times I crave it. The Kung Pao is for those days when you want something spicy, but there really are tons to choose from. The sushi is good as well.<br/><br/>The décor, is plain and some would say dingy, best suited for those of us that want to reminisce about that student life perhaps, but I don’t mind or care really beacause the food is amazing.

Linko's has great sushi specials during lunch. The sushi is always good and they are reasonably priced. They also have a big menu, with lots of Chinese dishes too. I generally get the chicken chow mein which is a generous portion. The fried dumplings are also a great choice. The staff is very friendly and the food generally arrives quickly.

Came here last night while trying to scratch a sushi itch and itch was successfully scratched. We weren't very hungry so we didn't order a lot and will be back to try out more of the menu and maybe give the buffet a try. I ordered the calamari tempura roll which was more chewy than crunchy as well as the salted chili calamari - I found that this wasn't actually chili but there was a very chili accompaniment, it went down so well I ordered it twice. The vibe of the place is your typical laid-back Obs vibe so if you're into that  you'll enjoy a meal here. In the beginning the service was okay but throughout the meal it deteriorated and I eventually lost it a bit as our waiter, Wayde, downright ignored me. Fortunately his colleague was there to pick up the slack and I didn't leave wholly dissatisfied.

Great service 👌🏽 but portions are way too small. Had a minor concern about the freshness too but it turned out okay. Not overly satisfied though, I was actually a lot more underwhelmed considering the vast reviews. Linko's buffet special is perfect for students and anyone else really, their menu is very affordable!

Linko's is a really great place to have decent sushi at pocket friendly prices. I have been going there for years and I even go all the way from Plumstead just to get their Sushi as take out. The service is friendly rather than formal so if you are wanting a fine dining experience, do not expect to get it from here. For an informal restraunt it honestly gets a 5 star rating and you will not find a more friendly place.

Fabulous quality sushi at very competitive prices in Lower Main Road Obz. The chef makes as you order and you can watch his skills while you wait. Dim Sum and spring rolls are also top quality. 'Eat as much as you can' if you like and the menu is varied and interesting.

Got takeout from this joint last night. Their sushi is tasty and good value for money. Sadly, their thai green curry leaves much to be desired. It was watery and lacked a lot of flavor. I just know for next time to stick to the sushi side of the menu.

Unfortunately, I don't have any good things to say. I had a lunch takeaway today, and the dim sum (har gow) was honestly the worst I've ever had. The batter was too soft and when I bit into it, some water came out. I ate only two before I decided that I actually couldn't. The sweet and sour pork was better, but also not good.

What can I say about such an amazing resturant. The vibe is wonderful, the decor is so different from what you would expect. The waiters sometimes seem confused but they are always interesting and helpful. And then the food... omw delicious... the food is really soo good their beef chow mein is soo wonderful, the meat so tender and the flavor is just amazing. I went there with my family and everyone was very impressed. If you are a regular their you get treated like family! And I have no word for how good their sushi is...just amazing! do yourself a favour and check out Linko!

Hands down the WORST sushi I have ever eaten. Cloyingly sweet and badly made (falling apart). Could not finish it. Staff could not answer questions re the menu. The noodles weren't bad though... I would go back if you promised me I would never again have to eat that horrible sushi.

This my go to Chinese takeaway restaurant because they do it pretty quickly and in my opinion very well! I have now been there twice for a sit in sushi dinner and was very disappointed! <br/><br/>Both times I went, friends went with the buffet menu which ended at 9 or 9:30 (the waitress wasn’t sure). This option comes with so many rules and regulations it’s not worth it! At the pace they operate at, you would be lucky to get three orders in by cut off!

Firstly, BEST crispy tempura rolls I've EVER had. We ate there tonight after my cousin recommended it to us. I was absolutely not disappointed. This place is a little gem! We had the all-you-can-eat sushi AND chinese food buffet. They had the chinese food set out and you could dish it up yourself, it was great. The sushi was fresh and top notch; and they weren't stingy with the salmon, mayonnaise or caviar . We'll be more than happy to go there again.

Six of us went to linkos last night to do the sushi buffet. Linkos is a typical Chinese/Sushi restaurant with pictures of Jackie Chan and a waving porcelain cat.<br/>- The service is a bit slow and the latest you can order is by 21:30.<br/>+ Sushi was seriously good and fresh and the staff very friendly.<br/><br/>All in all a good dinner and for R 109.00 all you can eat Sushi and Chinese food, its really decent.<br/><br/>

Myself and 2 other friends were at the restaurant. One of my friends arrived 1st and ordered the all you can eat Sushi. He had 1 serving when we got there just after 7pm. I decided to order the "Linko feast platter". Appon which the waiter informed us that they did not have enough fish to complete a 33 piece platter. <br/><br/>My friend who ordered the all you can eat was in total disbelief as they were running out of fish and the waiter failed to disclose tht information before he ordered. Even more shocked was he whn he was billed for the all you can eat even though he only had 1 plate of Sushi. <br/><br/>Anyway we paid the bill and went to Blue Marlin (which is just a lil further down the road) <br/>

The BEST Chinese food I have ever had - everything looks and tastes so fresh, and the veggies all look vibrant and tasty. Interesting selection - you will not be disappointed! I live in Southfield, but i still make the effect of a 20 mins drive most weekends to Obz just to enjoy Linko Restaurant's sushi, more specifically, their Tempura Prawn Roll dishes which is definitely my favorite and is worth a try. They always have the freshest ingredients and service and atmosphere is fairly good. One thing i like about their sushi menu is the variety that you get with your sushi choices. i also admire how knowledgeable the waiters are with regards to the menu, it makes ordering a lot easier and pleasant. <br/><br/>Thank you Linko Restaurant, keep up the amazing work!<br/>See you soon :)

Linko is awesome! Such good food and very friendly service. All you can eat buffet is only R69 for Chinese and the sushi and Chinese buffet is R125 or only R99 if you show your student card! Love this place!

ok. so what I can honesty say about Linko's is that they have a CHEAP all-you-can-eat buffet after 17h and that they even include sushi for an adjusted rate (awesome, admit it!)... also, the food is good and the prices are cheap - what more can you ask for?
