Best place in CT no doubt. Springbok burger is the best thing on earth :)
This place makes my absolute best trinchado! Relaxed atmosphere, I've arrived here in the morning for coffee and stayed through lunch for cocktails (which are also really good).
Myself and my girlfriend went out for a quick dinner a few days ago and decided to try Woodstock Lounge as we had heard some good things about it.
On first impressions, I liked the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, which was a welcome break after a long day at work. And whilst I do feel that the theme is slightly contradictary being that there are wooden deck tables, modern metal seating as well as couches, the restaurant is generally very warm and welcoming (I mean, it DOES have a fireplace).
We sat on the couches and proceeded to order some drinks. I had a delicious craft ale beer.
For food I ordered the lamb and feta burger whilst she had the basil pesto and feta pasta along with added cajun chicken strips. The pasta was really fantastic and the chicken really complimented the pasta very well.
My burger was really well balanced in terms of the flavor profile however I did feel that perhaps they could've held back slightly with the sauce as it was slightly runny but nonetheless the meal was very tasty.
All in all it was a nice night out at a very comfortable place to relax, have friendly service and a decent meal. Definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the Woodstock area
There is nothing special about Woodstock Lounge, but it is a nice and cosy spot.
The staff is always friendly, service is fine, reasonably prices.
The burgers are probably the best thing on the menu from what I have seen. My brother always enjoys the burgers and pizza.
Not many vegetarian or vegan options.
I always have a salad, which they can improve on a bit. The beetroot & butternut salad is quite good.
The jalapeno poppers are good! The cheese is amazing.
Just a nice feel good spot with different types of seating, including couches.
Ordered pizzas over the phone, collected them 20 minutes later. Got home, they were still beautifully hot. Lovely thin crispy base with a generous amount of fresh toppings!
A R5 charge for all of my substitutions, well worth it.
Some of the best pizza I've had in Cape Town.
Such a cozy spot in winter with a super fireplace right in the middle. Not much for vegans, but the arrabbiata pasta is yum and they're happy to make their pizzas without cheese. We'll keep coming back.
Affordable, great quality food, always consistently prepared. Best winter specials around Woodstock. Cosy lounge with fireplaces, pizza oven and local beers on tap. Never disappoints.
Very two-tone venue with both tables and a relaxed couch area. The starters is superb from chilli poppers to probably the best nachos I've ever had. The atmosphere is quite relaxed and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We hardly waited for anything.
This afternoon I'm popping into the Woodstock Lounge. First impressions this places is a relaxed restaurant come bar. Feeling like alcohol would be a bit heavy this early on in the day I opted for my standard latte but I'm intrigued to come taste their daiquiris and more importantly their Piña Colada.
For lunch today I ordered a chicken burger with cranberry and Brie and decided to pair it with a side salad as the meal also comes with crispy onion rings. Price wise I would peg it on the more expensive side for a burger so I hope it packs in fresh ingredients and punch of flavor.
The service is quick and the staff friendly and my latte arrived before I could finish getting in a few good pictures from the table I was at. Sadly though the coffee is far too hot, and the result is that it tastes a bit burnt. The foam is not alright and the coffee milk ratio is out leaving a bit of a watered down taste overall. I don't expect first grade coffee from a restro/bar but I would have been surprised if it was nailed down. Maybe a barista needs to sit with the machine and figure out the kinks, each machine has a life and personality of its own. I only managed to take the first sip after I finished my meal.
Getting into the meal. The burger is beautifully presented on a wooden board and looks to be a sizable meal. Flavour wise you can definitely taste the Brie and the BBQ basting of the chicken but unfortunately not enough cranberry kick. My burger didn't come with rocket so that peppery note is lacking to balance the BBQ flavours.
The chicken however is cooked very well and the bun is fantastic. I like that the onion rings were not oily but the batter they used should be a bit more flavorsome. Adding a bit of paprika and mixed herbs would give the batter something special. I liked that I got a small portion of mayo as an extra but what would make it better is mixing in some whole grain mustard and a touch of honey to give the mayo a life of its own.
Overall a decent pub lunch before work at a fair price point with reliable service.
So my girlfriend and I headed off for drinks after work and ended up here. It's next to 2 restaurant with full of energy yet The Woodstock Lounge is perfect to chill, sit back and relax. Fantastic service, the waitress was extremely helpful told us about the specials. If you're not after noise and crowdy places. This is the spot for you.
Me and my girlfriend were on our way to the Monday Madness at Jamaican Me Crazy when we saw the special that the Woodstock Lounge had. Buy one and get one free Pizza. Since we never been there, we decided to give it a try. Best decision we made.
The pizza was amazing. It reminds me of the Pizza from Posticino. Very thin base and the ingredients were fresh.
They have a good selection of craft beers and cocktails. My gf had the daiquiri and I had the jack black on tap.
I am definitely coming back to this place.
