This place was amazing but has actually now been closed for several months (shop replaced). I would love to know what the proprietor is up to - those breakfasts - avo shakes and croinuts - were second to none. So sorry to see you go :(
This place has been around for decades and never disappoints. Try breakfast or a cake! Very nice owners and I love to support local so give it a try

Lovely quaint restaurant with helpful staff
Sirloin and grilled chicken sandwich were delicious the chips on the side were not great
Service is efficient, will definitely recommend this place and return to test other menu options
I was really really excited to find this place. First, the location and second the vibe/set up was perfect. There's a very chilled out atmosphere and the decor is with the times. Very unique compared to the normal Muslim owned place that you'd visit.
As soon as you walk in there's someone attending to you. It's a bit awkward to actually decide what you'd like to have because the menus are situated at a very high level !
Seating is limited but honestly, the food is worth it!
I had a tandoori chicken, beetroot and raita Flatbread and my friend had a banana and nutella French toast.
Unfortunately, we had to opt for a takeaway as they were taking long to prepare the food and we had to be elsewhere soon.
We were extremely satisfied with our food. The portions were large and the taste goes unmatched. I'm really stoked to go back and try more of their stuff.
Go there and experience it for yourself !
Growing up in Sea Point, I have eaten at several versions of Caturra in different locations with difference owners and menus. Today I went to the newest of these (which admittedly is not new). It is certainly the best menu and vibe thus far. We had breakfast but I am excited to try the lunch menu. It is very cozy with a bit of a quirky edge to the decor. The food was good, although the bread was apparently limited today. The staff were friendly, but slightly disorganized. I will definitely be returning.
Halal friendly and delicious! I've been here a couple of times and the food never disappoints. I had the sweet chili chicken burger and I was blown away (the large portion of chips was right up my alley). I'm usually not a huge fan of guacamole but it really complemented the burger. My sister and mother had poached egg dishes which were equally amazing (we were there for breakfast after all). Their flatbreads are also delicious - the one with figs on is my favourite! It's really close to the promenade. So if you're doing a morning stroll on the promenade, just walk up one of the side roads for good service and deliciousness.
A hidden gem on Sea Point Main Road with amaaazing cronuts and coffee. Most of us had 'The Sandton' breakfast - avo, feta and poached eggs on sourdough - or the Portuguese baked eggs. Everything was delicious. We were served by the owner, a very friendly and passionate guy, who was having some issues with understaffing (however we had no complaints with slow service or anything of the sort). If you can't stay for a meal, definitely pop by to grab a takeaway cronut or cruffin for afternoon tea!
Halaal places are hard to find so coming across a halaal breakfast spot is always a treat:).
I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
Their coffee is great. And they always get my eggs the way I like it- medium poached 👌🏽
Will definitely be a regular
Nice cozy place to go for breakfast. Coffee was good, there were lots of good options, and meals were well presented. The portion sizes were just enough. Had such a good time, will definitely go back.
Came to Caturra with a colleague who's a regular and has always enjoyed coming here. We opted for a seat outside as the place is quite compact. Caturra has an interesting menu with attractive combinations and I opted for the vegetarian breakfast which consisted of poached eggs, halloumi, spinach on toasted sourdough. The flat white was rich and aromatic and thoroughly enjoyed. My colleague enjoyed his breakfast, innovatively called the Caturra- which was essentially a full-house of eggs, toast, sausage, macon and mushrooms. Service was good.
