Oh wow!!! 6:30am we walked in and greeted with this amazing whiff of freshly baked breads and pastries.
The place is really nicely decorated with sofas in the mix! Love!!
After ordering, we were graced with a glorious bread basket. All sorts of German bread buns that were absolutely delectable.
The menu seems different to the one online. I ordered a dish with avo, halloumi, poached eggs, red onion, loads of bacon bits and rocket. A-freaking-mazing!
Others at the table had the traditional eggs benedict and the full haus fry up. The portions here are huge!
Service was super friendly and relatively quick. It did however get busier as we were about to leave and with only one waiter on the floor that may lead to potential long waits.
I am however impressed and will be back.
Tucked away in a rather quiet part of town, especially suited for those lazy Sunday brunches on a beautiful Cape Town summer’s day. Superb pastries and if you’re into Asian, do try the Miso Eggs Benedict (Banting-friendly and packed with flavour).
Popped past to try some things from the bakery section. Ended up with a triple chocolate slice, a custard danish, the chocolate pretzel and a cheesecake slice.
I didn’t know you could sit down and from the brief look around it’s a very cozy spot. I will have to come do a sit down review sometime soon. Back to the pastry’s... ordered them to go and tasted them when I got home.
The chocolate pretzel number is great - no relation to the actual pretzel just the shape - the pastry is crispy and buttery and I like that a decent dark chocolate was used. The baked cheesecake was outstanding, lovely texture and taste. The custard danish met the mark but the triple chocolate square was a miss for me. I didn’t understand what it was trying to be so that sweet treat was lost on me.
Overall the staff are friendly and super attentive and it’s well worth a visit to the bakery. Who doesn’t love a good freshly baked thing I say and if you don’t like one thing there is a whole display case of other wonderful treats to choose from.

Ambience:
This unique restaurant has established a feng shui that allows for different stations depending on your mood: a quite corner to read a good book, an area for a big family breakfast, takeaway station for pretzels and all the likes and a coffee bar so that you can read the morning news to freshly brewed coffee.
Service:
Quick, efficient, attentive and friendly! Especially if you're not in the mood for small talk.
Food:
This has got to be the cheapest artisanal breakfast joint in Cape Town, CBD. We can definitely see the markup for the ambience!
Grabbed a House Muesli(healthy morning I think it's called) with fruit and yoghurt this morning after training. It was the perfect start to the morning and was delicious! The location is ideal and the service is friendly. Very keen to try out some other tasty treats
This place does eggs really well, they never get them wrong! They make a great omelette too!
However, the bread in the basket isnt very fresh, they should consider heating up the bread so it seems more fresh, also it's annoying that you have to ask for toast with your omelette or fried eggs, surely almost everyone eats toast with their eggs?
Service is really decent and food comes out quickly.
Lovely bakery in the middle of Cape Town CBD which serves a plethora of delicious breads and pastries. With so much variety we opted for the custard filled croissant as well as the chocolate croissant, both of which are apparently local favourites and understandably when tucking in you discover why! Great service with a view of the mountain a little way back from the hustle of long street.
Such a great little place to get all the breakfast goodies from the yummy pastries and coffee to the amazing service and great atmosphere . Have been here for breakfast many times with various friends and all fell in love .
Just finished up lunch and had to give this place a rave review. The chef is epic and has recommended something to me at every visit. Best for me is the chicken and prawn curry. You have to ask the chef to explain why it tastes so great but bottom line is that all the ingredients are whole and fresh. One of my top 3 meals in the city...
What a great place! Can't believe it was only my first time yesterday. The bread basket is served before a hot breakfast and prices of coffees go down when you order breakfast. Def come back for lunch and pastries.
