I’ve lived in Cape Town for more than 6 years and travelled and tasted all kinds for ice cream � Cape Town has to offer but the Sinful one , its among the best
Perfect way to end off a meal. The ice cream is to die for.
I remember being a student about 12 years ago and having Sinnful Ice cream in Camp's Bay. It was the best ice cream that I've ever had. My wife and I rediscovered the shop in Hout Bay about two years ago and now we'll always stop there when we visit Hout Bay. The best ice cream in the world? Who really knows; all we know is that it's flippen delicious.
Gorgeous interior, and the ice cream is pretty good too. I haven't sat down there yet, but I know they also serve coffee.
Located right by a beer brewery, market, and lots of food, so definitely a frequent stop for me.
I used to get sinfull ice cream all the time when they had an ice cream stand in Wembley square... But this was many years ago. Yesterday we stopped for some ice cream at their hout bay store.
Some good points:
👍 at R25 a scoop, you get a pretty darn huge scoop!
👍 decent number if sorbet options for those who can't/don't eat dairy
👍seating both indoors and outdoors (with umbrellas)
👍play area upstairs for kids
And some not so great points:
👎 ice cream was good (I had the vanilla cookie dough)but the quality was not as good as it used to be
👎they have waffles, but all of them are really decadent-no simple option for a waffle and one ice cream scoop of your choice
Overall thoughts: decent ice cream to get if you're in the area, but not worth going out of your way to have

Their waffles are just mind blowing. A must try! I had the one with berries on it. So much yes.
Oh my word never have I eaten such a big portion of ice cream. Paid R50 for 3 scoops - tried the Aero, Milk Tart and Mini Astros flavors to share!!!!! It was amazing in this heat. Just outside Bay Harbor Market. We got like 6 scoops for 3 haha... Very delicious! Portions are definitely big enough to share ;)
🍦 I love it when I can smell deliciously outside a restaurant before I know it's there. That was definitely the case at Sinnfull. The sweet aroma of ice cream and the warm coffee aromas strongly overpower the pungent fish smell from the harbour nearby... and that's pretty much why I stepped inside.
Into a cosy, very small little venue with the cutest ice cream bar. The decor is what I loved best. An industrial looking little illusion wall that is simply lovely for pictures and an elegant little chandelier to offset the "unfinished" look of the store itself! It's magic.
Of course the ice cream is as perfect as we've all come to know Sinnfull to be. Which is lovely to know. Nothing's change beside the location. It's cute, it's cost effective and it's pretty. It's a win!
Always a winner. Absolutely LOVE their ice cream. All the flavours are delicious. I can never just drive past this place, I always have to stop :)
The best waffles I have had ever! I had the chocolate one. It is the perfect combination of soft and airy waffles topped with chocolate sauce, divine chocolate ice cream and a crunchy element of chocolate chips. I ate the whole thing...almost! So worth the cheat. They have a nice play area for kids upstairs allowing you to peacefully indulge in this guilty pleasure.
Has to be, hands down, the best ice cream parlor I have visited. The staff are friendly and if you're unsure of your choice they are more than happy to let you taste different flavors. I must say, the addictions flavor is amazing, the rich and creamy flavor complimented with the nuts. The honeycomb is a close second but gets a little bitter if you eat to much in one go.
Absolutely fantastic. Love their flavours and so rich and creamy. I don't think there's a flavour that I don't like. Summer or winter it's the perfect comfort food. Go try it out.
Their waffles are delicious and their ice cream are creamy and flavourful. The staffs are friendly and prices are good considering the portions. One of our waffles was a bit undercooked though, and the vegan ice cream was not as good. Overall, this is a very nice place for a sweet treat.
Oh what a delightful place . I enjoyed it so much. They just about serve one of THE best waffles in CT. I ordered the Nutty waffle. I was NOT ready for the lightness of the waffle and the utterly delicious roasted almond ice cream. Not too sweet but oh so creamy , which I absolutely loved. Every morsel was a bite to savour. I ended up sharing my waffle with hubby, coz let's face it....two scoops of ice cream and that thick waffle, was a bit too much for me to handle . Totally worth the drive from the northern suburbs ❤
What an awesome experience. Had the best waffles. They have an array of ice cream and sorbet flavours. All to satisfy you taste buds. The staff were friendly and they have a great functional play area for the kids. Be prepared to leave on a huge sugar high.
Some of the best ice cream I have had! Texture and taste are a winner! There are fabulous flavours available. My best are pistachio, caffeine fix and honeycomb! They also make great waffles and milkshakes that are very reasonably priced. The peanut butter milkshake is a winner for me. The ice cream is addictive and I visit at least once or twice a month 🙈. Sit outside if it's not too windy and if the nearby fish factory isn't letting off emissions. Indoor seating is available. Highly recommended if you're in Hout Bay.
Today was my third time to visit the sinnful ice cream. Which is situated at the hout bay harbor and connected to snoekies.
This is one the best if not thy best ice cream waffles restaurant I have ever visited.
One would be spoiled for choice of test. It's indeed a sense full corner for one to indulge in a great variety of ice cream flavors.
The presentation is fantastic, the service is awesome and staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
I was so delighted to visit this place once more and I shall visit again, given the opportunity.
The restaurant shares a kids play area with the next door Snoekies resturant, which was an amazing find! The play area was large, clean and had lots of interesting things for kids to explore (eg castle with some dress up attire). For parents with small kids, look no further!
The coffees were reasonable and could be ordered for delivery to the play area which had lots of seating. This was great. The icecream selections were varied, all the flavours were very yummy. They let you taste of you cannot make up your mind. My favourite was the granadilla followed by the milk tart. The single scoop albeit not cheap was very generous. I would readily recommend you stop by.
Best waffles and Ice cream in cpt 😭♥️ service was abit slow. The place wasn't full or any long lines, service was just abit slow, but that's not a bad thing because the scent of the place is so amazing and the vibe 👌🏻wouldn't mind sitting for a hour or 3 lol 😂 hands down, I've never ever had ice cream or waffles as good as there's 🙆🏻♂️

Love their ice-cream! Light, fresh, flavorsome, a beautiful way to tie off a meal. Fell in love with their peppermint with chocolate pieces. The chocolate brownie was devine, but only for lovers of dark chocolate.

Absolutely amazing. Normally don’t give reviews but could not help it. Amazing gem in Hout Bay. If you love cookie dough, the Cookie Monster ice cream is the way to go. Best ice cream
