Not enough people are talking about the Harvest Lunches they do! Their cocktails are amazing, but boy the spread of delicious, healthy foods they offer at lunch blew me away - I go there for lunch far more than I do for the cocktails!

I had a huge (delicious) plate of chicken curry samoosa, lentil bobotie, wild herb rice, home made crunchy slaw, and roasted butternut last time I went and good gravy I’m still dreaming about the samoosa. 😍

ET, our server, was so attentive and lovely it made the experience that much better as well.

We were on our way to Mother's Ruin when we came across this bar on Shortmarket and couldn't resist. We were welcomed in by the amazing the waiters who really took their time to explain what the bar is about, it's concept, the various botanical and infusion processes.

The drinks were quite cool and on special till 6pm each cocktail was described to us and had an amazing story/history on how its made and the process which made it more enticing. The drinks were made so quickly and were definetly a fascinating experience for the taste buds. The various cocktails are roatwys every 10 days so you probably won't have the same drinks each time which is cool. It's very experimental and cool and the ambiance is ideal for a drinks night or even a date night. I definetly suggest it.

Some of the drinks need to be relooked in terms of balancing the flavours but they've got something good going.

Now this place is fascinating.

It's a bar of experiments, tinctures, infusions, walls filled with different bitters, cordial, experiments all over the place.

This feels like a mad botomists cocktail lab. The bar staff are excited and interested in all the ingredients.

Like there was a plate with burning sage chilling next to me while we discussed Buchu infusions and weird stuff you can use jagermeister-esque infusions with.

Definitely one of my most visits if I'm going on a town side meander

Something so different in the CBD. Beautiful space with relaxed friendly vibe. Drinks with botanical ingredients you've never heard of, but taste amazing! Also delicious food - sharing plates, great for a big group. Also perfect place to take foreign friends visiting from abroad.

A unique concept and great food and drink. Only stocks local craft liquor, with a big focus on indigenous botanical tinctures. Highly recommend! :)

Devine cocktails and awesome snacks! The bar is beautifully decorated and this is the perfect place to go for a drink after work in town or a place to meet friends before or after dinner. We love the regular changes to their drinks menu which always keep you guessing and coming back for more. They also have alcohol free options that are delicious so it means you can enjoy yourself and still drive home!😀 Another great place to enjoy during Cape Towns First Thursdays! In our top 3 Cape Town cocktail bars for sure!

Highly recommended! This was one of the best meals I had on my trip to Cape Town. Really delicious food and drinks using local ingredients and botanicals. Staff was great explaining everything I was trying. And...really reasonable prices. Great evening out!

Being a huge fan of gin and interesting cocktails, my partner and I were searching the web for the best places to go. We set our sights on The Botanical Bar and were not disappointed. I ordered one of the Shrubs - a vinegary sweet cocktail that really took me by surprise. The ambiance is great and the jars all over the bar caught my interest really quickly. Will definitely be back for more.

Went for happy hour, the drinks were interesting, fresh and actually a healtht compared to the most cocktail places. The bar is filled with jars of tinctures and bitters that make it seem sort of like an apothecary or old chemistry lab, it's a great aesthetic! The staff were helpful and really friendly. Great experience!

Very, very interesting meals and drinks, distinctly local. Not super busy, quite relaxed. The waiters were a bit TOO relaxed; actually, the waiting staff were a major let down as they kept forgetting orders or just taking forever, and just didn't seem interested in the patrons at all. For the taste experience I would recommend it.

Delicious cocktails. Food is good too but menu is quite "snacky". Could have more main options.

Stumbled upon this place en route to another bar in Cape Town and couldn’t help but go in! The vibe is great and it looked way too interesting and unique to pass up. They have their house made bitters and concoctions showcased at their cool bar, there’s an open air window, and a hip vibe. We received excellent service, both people who helped us went above and beyond to explain the bitters they make in house and the cocktails. They even provided us with recommendations of places to go nearby. We ordered two craft cocktails which were refreshing, unique, and delicious. We ordered a chicken dish and a salad which were fresh, healthy, and well made. The attention to detail and care we received from our main server was the best we experienced in Cape Town. Such a lovely spot that we were so happy we stumbled upon.

Unique and delicious cocktails using South African botanicals - like nothing I have ever tasted. Great for an after work drink and light meal or to show friends from out of town an authentic experience. Awesome vegan food options. Friendly and very helpful staff.
