The best fish & chips with a view. I love this little kiosk on Sea Point Promenade. We've been here a few times and we never disappointed.

The food was great, as always. Prices are a bit out there though! Service was great but the store itself smelled weird, and not a fishy fish shop smell (which would have been awesome, like the Hout Bay branch). Store was empty and cold :(

Amazing, friendly staff. Helped us choose a meal with patience. We ended up trying Snoek, Hake, Calamari and “slap” chips. The batter was lovely and crispy, and the fish was still moist and shining. The flavours were exactly what would be expected from a local fish n chips shop, except they have perfected everything from all the years they have been in business. Set your sights, tastebuds and expectations to the correct level. No, this is Not fine dining – surprise, surprise. This is your local chippie, and they excel at doing it correctly. Highly recommended.

Visited the Snoekies down in Greenpoint and even though it's not the original site of Hout Bay, the food was well prepared and high quality standards were maintained. The Snoekies Story is even displayed on the wall of the restaurant for all to read and learn the history of the business.

Delicious food in a small place. We got the fish and chips with the Peri Peri sauce and enjoyed it thoroughly. It’s on a high traffic street so parking can be challenging. Definitely recommend this place.

First I wanted to leave again because there was a distinct smell of old frying fat .. But since I opted for grilled fish I gave it a shot and was not disappointed. Fresh, nicely spiced and very affordable. Like many places off the main tourist spots Cape Town delivers great experiences!

I have been frequenting this establishment for years and have discovered that the batter on the fish has been deteriorating over time. On Sunday my wife and I with my grand child ate at the Sea Point branch as this is the branch we like. It was disappointing to have fish with a hard crispy almost burnt batter. We notice this to be a trend at this branch for awhile now. It’s either the oil is dirty or the fish the fried for too long. On the other hand The Belvedere branch of Snoekies in Claremont is perfect every-time. Mikhail Hathey

We are visiting in Cape Town and were looking forward to eating Snoek and chips since our last visit. Unfortunately this was not to be. The chips tasted and looked terrible [perhaps old oil] The Snoek was too oily. Extremely disappointing<br/> Will not return. We are so over Snoekies.

Freshest fish, crispy and tasty batter. Quick service and big portions. We snuck in their famous fish and chips as breakfast on our way to the airport because we couldn't leave Cape Town without some good old fish and chips. Very glad we did - I have tried Snoekies in Hout Bay and for me it was almost as good in respect of quality and taste.

Slowest service, waited 40 mins for our order and it wasn't even busy. Orders got mixed up and the portion size of the grilled calamari was ridiculously small for R53, not even a quarter of a hamburger box full (see photo). The grilled snoek was horrible and over done and very dry. Would not recommend Snoekies.

Friendly efficient service. Delicious fish and chips. Would definitely recommend snoekies to a friend. We tried the snoek and the hake. Both were good. Restaurant was not busy.

Never ever visit this branch! I mean never!!!<br/>I wish I could give it zero!<br/>The service is appalling !!! 32 minutes to get 3 fish and calamari combos - we were the only people in the restaurant. After which there were only 2 fish fillets. We had to go back and ask for a salad that had been left out. No sauces or utensils given in the bag. <br/>When we discovered the fish fillet had been left out we went back to the shop to Ask for money back and get an explanation as to why this happened. We were accused of lying. Not worth the effort getting. Ad service.

The unfriendly service was a bad start. Ordered a classic fish and chips but the chips were awful and left that horrible "ancient oil" after taste. The fish wasn't the best I have tasted but it wasn't bad.

Been there once ,probably will never go back .There is no wow factor in either their food or service .The fish is rather to dry ,chips not to bad .
