This place is totally insane !!!! Def a must do !!!! Our seafood platter was to die for !!! Wish I knew about this before!! I will be back atleast once a week for this! I have a new favourite place in town!!! Thank you for the truly wonderful food and amazing hospitality !
My new favorite place in Cape Town, and I eat out at least 4 to 5 times a week. We had the "Meat me halfway" platter for 2. Everything from the delicious crayfish to the chicken wings were awesome, and they not shy with their portions....we had to take some home. From the setting, the venue and the decor, it makes you feel like you in a fishing village right on the beach. Best service and value for money meal I have had in ages!... Well done guys, I will be back to sample the rest of your menu.
ok so this review is really late myself nd my partner had the pleasure of having a late supper at the crab shack we had the crab buckets which was alot and somewhat bothersome because we were hungry and all that sucking didnt work but the nevertheless it was super tasty the cocktails were decent and i would defs go back to go try out some of there other dishes. This would be the ideal spot to pop into on a hot summers day for a bite to eat and yummy drinks.
The food is really ridiculously good! The staff are all friendly and always smiling, even on such a hot day when we are all melting! Might be a good idea to get mist sprayers on the deck but otherwise this place is perfect!

What flavors. My mouth is tingling. The crab platter with the prawns and the fish is amazing. Well worth it. Cocktail special and lovely white wine. On point. Highly recommended. Off the beaten track but well worth the trip up the hill. Good luck keep it up
First time at the Deckhouse after wanting to try it for MONTHS and I was blown away.
Great service - got a complimentary serving of potato skins upon arrival. Crispy, tasty YUM! Had a round of their cocktails. Do yourself a favour and order and the Honey Bee!
Shared two starters - the popcorn shrimp (which was amazing) and the corndog style chili poppers (very yummy version of this starter)
Had the calamari and prawn combo. Prawns were massive - soooo fresh and sweet. Calamari was tender and delicious!
BF had the muscle pot which came with a corn on the cob and the most incredible little cornbread which was sooo lush and fresh.
BUT he opted for a new addition to the menu as his side which was the real start. The lobster tail mac and cheese. HEAVEN on a plate. Do order this! It's very rich but AMAZING.
Such a treat! Service was great and friendly. Will go back in a heartbeat!

OMG!!! If you haven't been to this slice of heaven yet pleeeeeeeease make a concerted effort to, the food was just amazing and the service was exceptional. My fiance had the rib and calamari combo and I had the fillet and calamari combo- both were absolutely moreish. Please make sure you have an appetite tho, as the servings are quite generous. When you've polished off your heavenly main meal , treat yourself to the Mississippi mud pie- OMG was it to die for. Can't wait to be back!
Wenn looked for lunch. We had a mazing mussels for Lunch and crab. Thanks for the nice stay, We will come back...mayed we will come back for a Whiskey
I went in a group and I was honestly quite disappointed. Fish was really average and not well cooked. It worth 3.5 because service was ok and price was really good but I wouldn’t go back

Great food, the portions are enormous and quite well priced. Interesting flavours and combinations. The soft shell crab is a must try! Also Louisiana mud cake AMAZING. Picture is the Jambalaya.
Great spot for lunch or dinner. Food amazing, staff excellent and drinks menu exciting! We were here with a large group and were looked after like royalty. Couldnt recommend highly enough!
