The Wild Fig - Cape Town Central - Photo album

lovely venue, peaceful and tranquil, with a very good selection on the new menu. I inadvertently left my shoulder bag on the chair when we left and retrieved it thanks to management the next day. Sadly an item had been removed. none the less the food is superb. Highly recommended.
I ordered the crispy duck while my friend had the lamb shank. On the day, my duck was overcooked, and the manager offered any other dish on the menu. I then also opted for the lamb shank, which was absolutely delicious. The service was really outstanding. When the bill arrived, management did not ch
Nice atmosphere for a summer afternoon if you want somewhere with outdoor seating. Smoker-friendly. Opted for the fish and chips and it did not dissappoint, albeit heftier prices than a typical lunch spot. Brilliant service, will be happy to go back
Great atmosphere/vibe. But of a schlep to get to during peak traffic times though. Good views of a club and food/drink choices if you want to wait for traffic to ease up
Lovely setting, nice food, lamb ragout was very tasty but the 3 or 4 small bones spoiled it a bit, almost broke a tooth, still a great place with a nice selection of dishes and friendly staff, worth a visit. JULY2023: OK, I've added a 4th star, was there this evening, and both my starter (baked cam
Their outdoor sitting is the best for a group. Restaurant perfect for the night out and day sittings.. I loved it
It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere especially for the summer months and the vibe is very easy. This is not a place you come to to rush - it facilitates a nice long slow lunch and chats with friends. There's outdoor and indoor seating, access for wheelchair users, and neat and clean bathrooms. It'
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at “the wild fig restaurant” this past Monday and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for the evening. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the exquisite cuisine.
Cozy Restaurant, great service with top class food, beautifully prepared.
A delightful afternoon in a beautiful setting. The patio evokes a wine farm atmosphere right here in Obs, with stunning views of the mountain. The food and service was excellent.
I enjoyed the visit. The duck was very good.
We popped into this place yesterday for a quick lunch. I had be recommended it by friends as was close by. It certainly didn’t disappoint. Charles our waiter was eloquent and smart. He put us next to the fire as it was cold and wet outside, then tempted us with the specials. We both went for the ban
A hidden diamond in the middle of Cape Town, really good restaurant with a well choice of wines and amazing food! Marriott Crystal Tower was sold out and randomly they send me to the Marriott Protea Mowbray, middle of nowhere, but good restaurant!
First time visit after a recommendation from family. The kudu medallions were lovely with the peppercorn sauce (arrived cooler than expected though). The roasted vegetables were great (especially potatoes). My highlight was the peppermint terrarium! So good and delicate and a feast for the eyes. Loc
Had a great time celebrating a friends belated birthday. Happy hour from 5 to 7. Meal of Karoo lamb ragout was better than expected. Really delicious. More than enough sauce in the dish, could have had a little bit more chunkier pieces of meat.
We did not have a booking but were lucky enough to get a table. Everything on the menu sounded very good, i settled on the slow cooked pork belly. Slow cooked for 8hrs! It was perfect, it melted like butter. Served with vegetables and crispy crackeling. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.
Lovely solo dinner at The Wild Fig mid week. Relaxed atmosphere, fire in the grate to keep the cold away and gentle soulful music by candlelight. Quite lovely. Food and wine very enjoyable!
We had a work function upstairs and away from the main restaurant. Well equipped with a projector for a dinner function with a speaker and had an IT guy to assist in setting up. Enjoyed a lovely 3 course dinner and great service from the staff. Tge Wild Fig restaurant is famous for their Crispy duck
